Athena's POV

I went behind the mansion, shaken and engulfed in sobs. 

The threat he had issued, promising my death once I gave birth to a wolfless offspring emerged, but it was nothing in comparison to the heartbreak of realizing I possessed no wolf within.

Life as it appeared, was full of tribulation, and the goddess seemed to have a particular hate for me. Tala found me, crouching in distress behind a tree.
