Important Call

Alicia understood Jessica felt guilt for her. It wasn't wrong for her to be born after Alicia, to be a young woman, and to have such an attractive face. But Alicia didn't want to accept that apology. This was like admitting the fact that she was indeed an old woman and Jessica was prettier than her.

"Save you apologize, Jessie. Benedick only said nonsense because he was drunk." Alicia's words sounded more gentel than when she had sold Jessica's identity to Aaron. She sounds like a warm sister now.

Alicia was quite satisfied with Theodore's reaction. Her heart healed a little because Theodore was concerned for her. This was one of the reasons why Alicia fell for Theodore's charm. Under no circumstances will the man stand in front and protect her.

"We're going home now." Theodore embraced Alicia in his arms.

There is no reason for them to stay longer at the club. Taking Alicia home meant taking Jessica away as well. Aaron soon found himself about to lose the jewelry he had just found.

"Miss Becker, I hope you will think about my offer beforehand. You can contact me if you are interested." Aaron immediately held up his business card.

Just then, Theodore led Alicia out of the club. Jessica followed them without saying anything, simply ignoring Aaron and his card.

In the car, Jessica sat in the front seat while Theodore and Alicia sat in the back seat.

"Alicia, don't ever come to the club again! Didn't we agree on this?"

"I just came to meet my fiance to surprise him. I don't come to the club for anything else." Alicia immediately made up an excuse. "Isn't that a problem?"

"There's no need to surprise me. You don't have to think of something like that. Making surprises should be a man's job. I don't like surprises."

Hmm... Too bad then.

"And if I say NO, then you just have to obey it. There are no exceptions to that." Theodore's cold words attacked Alicia. She just went a little off track to surprise Theodore, but that man was not at all impressed by her bravery instead of scolding her.

Doesn't Theodore know that this is one of the episodes that makes Alicia restless and thinks about getting out of his restraint? Theodore often went too far in managing Alicia's territory.

Sitting in the front seat, Jessica didn't want to but listen to all of Alicia's conversations with Theodore. There was nothing she could do about this. As far as possible, she wanted to avoid this kind of atmosphere.Amid that uncomfortable atmosphere, Jessica's cell phone rang several times. It was a call from her brother.

"Why don't you pick up? Isn't that call important?" Alicia asked from the back seat. The ring tone was kind familiar to her.

"That's okay, Miss. It's only my little brother."

"Oh, I see," Alicia almost forgot that Jessica had a younger brother.

Jessica didn't live with her family anymore. Alicia heard that Jessica and her mother argued. Afterward, Jessica decided to leave her home and live independently. Luckily, Jessica was capable enough to take care of herself.

Theodore drove Jessica first before escorting Alicia home.

When he arrived at Weisberg Manor, Theodore's car bumped into Alistair's car. It seems that Alistair also just came home after finishing his night meeting.

"Dad, you just got home too?" It was unusual for Alistair to have evening meetings.

Since Alicia got into the company as much as possible, she handled some of Alistair's affairs. The night meeting was one example, Alicia had taken over a lot of night meetings so that his father could rest early.

"Mmmh," Alistair only answered slightly to his daughter. His gaze fell on Theodore, who was beside Alicia. Why he’s here?

Alicia did make a deal with Alistair Weisberg to ger Theodore away from her side. Alistair hopes that he doesn't have to face Theodore again. How long will it take to shove that hellish boy away from his sight?

Though it's useless to act like a proud son-in-law, Theodore said goodbye and left in a polite manner.

Alistair immediately invited his daughter to talk in his office. "So… Miss Becker hasn't agreed with your idea regarding Theodore?"
