Seven months later…

Seven months had passed since that tumultuous time when Adam had set out to find Irene. Now, the scene had shifted to a more peaceful setting. Irene's potbelly protruded gently as she made her way out of her room. Her pregnancy was evident, and her steps were careful and deliberate. Her emotions had undergone a rollercoaster of changes during these months, from uncertainty and fear to acceptance and even a sense of anticipation.

Downstairs, Magdalena caught sight of Irene descending the stairs. Her eyes softened with a mixture of happiness and concern. She swiftly put down her luggage and hastened over to Irene's side. With a warm smile, Magdalena offered her arm for support, and gently guided Irene down each step.

"Be careful, dear," Magdalena said in a tender voice, her hand steadying Irene as they reached the ground floor. "Your safety and the baby's well being are of the utmost importance."
