Chapter 9 Revenge through me

Joan’s POV:

Noah's aggressive moves instantly took me back to that night, which was a "sleepless" night. To be honest, I really wanted to have a rest, even if ten minutes, but I was not allowed to...The familiar smell of his breath enveloped me. It had been a long time since us to have such a close interaction since that night. He seemed impatient and couldn't wait to convey me. But I was a little distracted now holding the phone because I was still waiting for Fletcher's response.

Although I already knew he didn't have time to respond to my messages at this point because he was too busy flirting with Karen.

Still, I instinctively pushed Noah away, simply because, the situation would become more complicated. I knew I was supposed to get back at Fletcher, but if I took advantage of Noah again, the situation would be out of control. I was used to weighing the pros and cons, even in this kind of situation.
