Present Angela touched her face mask making sure it was covering her neck. The mask covered the lower half of her face and neck, she was donning her helmet and sitting on her bike waiting. In the morning when she stood in front of the shower after her bath, she couldn't believe her eyes. Her chest and neck were littered with love bites and not only that, but there were also a couple of them on her inner thighs and her waist. She looked thoroughly f*cked. She couldn't divert her mind from what happened last night by staying home so she called Milo and decided to meet him at the university. They didn't have any classes today, but she just wanted to get out of the house to breathe a little. There were millions of thoughts rattling her mind that she suffered a sudden headache. Angela didn't bother to tell Luca that she was leaving. She just needed to breathe without him. A light smack on the back of her helmet had her glaring at the person who was none other than Milo in his g
Present. The whole place buzzed with roaring engines, revving, laughter, chatters, and drinks. Everyone was donning their hot sexy attires looking cool and unique. There were many modified bikes as the people surrounded them taking pictures and admiring them. Angela slowly drives through the cluster of people making her way to the spot Julian and Milo told her about, the same place where they often met before going for a cruise. A guy tried to kill switch her bike but one glare from Angela was enough for him to pause his hand mid-air as he stepped back averting his gaze. Angela pulled over. Julian, Milo, and other riders were there along with a few of their club members, even Maeve was there to support them. Maeve pulled Angela in a tight hug while Angela was still sitting on her bike. Maeve pulled back while chirping how excited she was, the girl fully supported Julian and Angela to which Milo began arguing with her, demanding her biased support as well. Julian approach
Present. She didn't want him around, but he couldn't let it be just like that. He would've respected her need for space but not when her life was in danger. It was foolish of her to think that he would stay put at home while she was out there in danger and flirting with death on her bike. Luca left the house and went straight to the place where he had someone waiting for him. Luca got ready and took the bike which he had already paid for ever since she mentioned her street race. He wasn't a biker, but he had his fair share of cruising in his teen days. The thrill was always exciting but eventually, life was a bitch to him, and he drowned in training to become the best fighter. Luca was fully covered. He knew his scent would give him away so he stayed far away but at a spot where he could watch her. He noticed that she had zipped her jacket to the neck, and he was so f*cking glad. He frowned comically when he found her surrounded by guys. One of them was Milo and the o
Present. "Where are we going?" she asked, staring ahead at the road. "For now, I'm taking you somewhere safe, then we'll head to London first thing in the morning," he said. "I believe we should head to Daly City and fly from there," Harrison said as she nodded her head. "So, Beta Luca is your mate?" he asked as she bobbed her head. "And you didn't want him as your mate. You want to have a chosen mate?" He asked and she nodded her head again. "You don't like him?" he asked, glancing at her. "I don't," she said calmly, Harrison nodded, staring ahead at the road. "You can sleep if you want, we still have a long journey ahead of us," he said. Angela leaned back in her seat as she stared out of the window. Her heart thudded wildly inside her chest at the prospect of her dare. She had talked to Harrison in the club. He had asked about the pendant, and she had to tell him Luca had taken it, he frowned so she further explained that Luca was her mate, but she was
Present. Her whole body ached, and she couldn't even move. She tried to open her eyes, but it was too difficult. She barely succumbed in and out of consciousness. After a while, she was able to open her eyes as a groan slipped through her chapped lips. Her mouth was dry as if someone rubbed sandpaper all over it. She blinked slowly, staring at the chandelier that was lit with soothing golden lights. The bed beneath her was so soft and cozy, encasing her in its warmth. She lay there immobile staring at the chandelier. She was completely out of space for a couple of seconds before she tried to move her hand but couldn't. Her brows creased and she tugged again only to feel them restrained. Her eyes broadened slightly as she looked up and stiffened, finding her wrists cuffed to the headboard. A chill scraped her spine as she jerked up in a sitting position. A groan tore through her lips feeling severe throbbing in her head and the sudden dizziness. She sat up straight and tu
Past. 4 years ago. A year passed in a blur. Angela was getting better day by day. Now she didn't only spar with Nolan. She also sparred with Kevin and sometimes with Connie and other trainers. She didn't go down without a fight. And she had gotten exceptionally faster and sharper. "Come on, give it a try," Angela said, holding a glass of blood in front of Kevin who was using his phone and staring at her as if she was flaunting horns on her head. "Just don't stare at me. Try it and tell me how it is?" She said, shoving the glass in his face. "Are you crazy," He grumbled, annoyed by her and her eyes widened at what he just said. "What's so crazy about it? I'm just asking you to give it a try. Taste and tell me how it is?" Kevin dropped his phone on his lap, crossing his arms over his chest, he glared at her. "Why don't you try it?" He was so annoyed that he didn't even scent what was in the glass. "I did. I don't like it, it tastes like copper and metallic," She
Past. 4 years ago. Angela couldn't sleep for the last three nights. She didn't even go for training. The girl felt drained and so sad. She didn't leave her room. Violet came to check on her. Angela was the sunshine of the mansion. Always goofing around and pranking. The girl never failed to give hearty laughter to everyone. Kevin also came twice and asked her if everything was okay. She told him that they'd be going back next week. He didn't leave though. He crouched on the floor in front of her and gently asked her what was wrong. Ever since they both were in the vampire kingdom; they were together most of the time having fun. She'd talk nonstop and he'd listen grumpily. Angela couldn't contain it anymore as she sobbed and told him about her feelings and how Luca rejected her. Kevin listened patiently and then comforted her. He bought her cakes and chocolates, so she'd feel better. He called Luca a douchebag for breaking her heart and she nodded while munching on the cak
Present. A severe throbbing on her neck had her squirming as she groggily opened her eyes. Her eyelids felt as if a ton of weight was tossed over them, and her body felt like a bulldozer ran over her a couple hundred times. Her mouth was as dry as the Sahara Desert as she groaned. Her head pounded with a dull throb and even the back of her eyes ached. She felt so drained, exhausted, and weak. Angela tried to connect to her wolf, but she was so damn weak. Her eyes darted around the room, a fleeting second passed, and everything came back as she tried to pull at the restraints on both of her wrists. The chains were hanging from the ceiling and her hands were tied apart in such a way that her arms were spread like an eagle. Her palm that burned because of the silver hadn't healed properly; her wolf was too weak to heal her wounds. Tears brimmed in her eyes as she scooted back on the bed to rest her back on the headboard properly. The itching pain on her neck was a constan
