Veronica was the last person I wanted to see right now, especially in this state. I didn't want to say things that would hurt her feelings. That would even make her dislike me more.

"Oh my God! Are you okay?" She rushed to me, taking my bleeding hands to examine the cuts. Why does she ask questions she knows the answer to?

Of course, I'm not okay. I just punched my uncle, drove more than the speed limit, and cracked a glass with my bare hands.

She applied pressure to the cut and I hissed in pain, jerking my hands off from hers.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to check on you"

"I don't need you, so leave", I snapped at her.

I knew I shouldn't have yelled at her but she shouldn’t have come.

I needed more whiskey in my system, so I strolled back to the bar, grabbing the whiskey from the table, and chugged it down my throat.
