The First Defeat

Finally my feet stepped into the training arena, I looked at that course that I already knew by heart, that I could do back to back and still not get tired. I am smiling, even though I am late, I am smiling because I will finally be able to do things I love, without worrying about what people think.

My classmates had already started the course, in the center with a tablet was the coach, Joshua, he looked at me, arching his eyebrows.

"For being late I'm going to want at least 200 push-ups before I start the course."

I listened and just nodded, apologizing was something I hardly ever did, even more so because I was wrong. I had been late, so I would just have to accept the punishment.

I started to do the push-ups, letting my mind wander. I closed my eyes and then felt my muscles begin to tense and relax as I did the push-ups, changing positions every 50 sets, first with my left arm, then with my right, then with both, and ended up doing 50 more push-ups.
