Forrest did not think his surprise would grow any further than it had. Getting a clue on Christen’s whereabouts- a lead to her, to be exact- was one matter. But for it to actually lead him to her whereabouts? And so soon?! No, more importantly…

‘Why would Christen be in a bar of all places?’ Forrest wondered, as he looked around the room.

Like back at the restaurant, though, no matter where he looked in the bar, he couldn’t find Christen anywhere. Her scent was in here, no doubt about that. But where was the human herself?

“Can I help you, good sir?” Forrest turned to the voice that called out to him, where he saw an elderly human cleaning a glass at the counter.

“Yes, I’m looking for someone,” he answered carefully.

“Oh? Who exactly?”

Forrest took a moment to think over his options. This man must be a bartender, for one thing. As such, he must know the names and faces of the people who work in this tavern. Likewise, there was a possibility that he would not tell him a word of Chri
