CHAPTER TEN

“Jade, meet my wife Jessica, Jessica my nephew, the one who stays in your neighborhood.” Clinton introduced.

“Lovely to meet you.” I brought out my hand with a smile on my face. This is what I wanted, to see his face when his uncle introduces me as his wife.

His face didn't disappoint me, he looked exactly like I pictured him and most importantly he looked scared. Clinton held my hand as he led me in as if he knew what was happening.

“This should be Jessica.” A lady took me in a hug as soon as we walked in.

“Yes,” Clinton confirmed. She pulled away and hugged Clinton while I spotted Lucy seated on a couch, she was eyeing me in a way that one might think she had something to say.

“I'm Grace, Clinton's only sister. Come and meet my daughter in-law.” She said, taking my hand as she led me towards Lucy's side.

“Darling, meet my sister in-law, Jessie meet Lucy.” She introduced us – and to think she was supposed to be my mother in-law was just crazy.

“A pleasure to formally meet you, Jess.
