It’s been four days since I last saw Mikey and still, I haven’t heard anything new. So many times I was on the verge of asking my parents, uncle, and aunt but I stopped myself. No news is good news, right? But not knowing is still hard, and the only thing that’s been keeping me from running directly to him is my contract with DK. There were so many times when I almost told DK to forget about the contract but then there was a clause there that keeps me from doing that. The clause that says, I will be his Chosen Luna for real. I know that I had mentioned how the contract benefits me more than it benefits him and it was because he said yes to every demand that I had made. In return, he just had one request, and it was for me to be his Chosen Mate for three months. Of course, there will be a consequence if the contract was broken. The sun rises from the horizon, but I can see dark clouds slowly looming over the mountains. It’s been weeks since the match I had with Uncle Calvin. And boy did it get me so much trouble. Even though Uncle Calvin took most of the blame, Still, I was not free of the punishment. I can still remember how many times I have prayed for this moment to come. To ride Mikey's back again just like before. I can still remember the excitement I feel every time I think about it. I was just not expecting that things would turn out this way. ‘Hold on tight Little Wolf,’ Mikey said through the mind link as he continue to run. ‘Mikey, Anya,’ I heard my father’s booming voice through the link, ‘Find another route, stay away from the control tower, it’s not safe here,” He added. ‘Mikey,’ his voice became serious, ‘Take care of my daughter,’ and then the line went silent. ‘Dad!’ I shouted as I try to reconnect the line, ‘Dad!’ But there was no response. I woke up just before the sun rises and found Mikey still awake. He was seated at the same spot as last night, guarding the door. I look at his face to find some hints of his thoughts but I can’t find none. I guess he is back to the old Mikey that I know who is so good at hiding his feelings and his thoughts. I can’t help but wonder how he took what I said. Once we got home, I found out that there were a lot of warriors that ended up getting hurt but thankfully they were able to minimize casualties and damages.Because of the surprise attack, Uncle Drake requested a meeting that consists of his few trusted people, and most of them are those he considered as family. He became more cautious and alert ever since the attack and even asked my parents to let him stay closer to me to ensure that he will be there to save me when needed.
