TWENTY NINE

Hade

Several soft knocks on the door woke Hade up. He's used to being waken up in the middle of the night since he started preparing to transition for his role to being a seatholder a year ago, so he somewhat became a light sleeper. He immediately glanced at the beauty sleeping on his arms, and after assuring Eli was not disturbed, he jumped out of bed to answer the door.

"Lord Hade, apologies for waking you up. There are summons from the Council," it was Winston who immediately told him the concerns.

Hade glanced back at the clock. It's past 4 am. "Alright, I'll come down in a minute."

"Actually, my lord," Winston stopped him from closing the door. "The summons are not for you. It's for Miss Elizabeth."

Hade instinctively stopped in his tracks as soon as he heard his wife's name. "From who?"
