Chapter 4
“You’re not pure a virgin, Olivia,” he said, his voice like ice. My heart pounded in my chest as I took a step back. I could feel my body trembling.
“You lied to me, didn’t you?” His voice was full of accusation, and I felt like I was shrinking under his glare. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out.
"Get out!" he yelled, his voice booming in the silent room. My eyes darted to him in fear, my hands shaking as I reached for my clothes. I wanted to cover myself, to protect myself, but his words seemed to freeze me in place. I felt exposed and vulnerable, like a deer caught in the headlights.
"Go outside, and leave your clothes here," he said, his voice cutting through the air like a knife. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I felt numb, like I was in a nightmare.
“You have five seconds to get out of here,” he said, his voice low and threatening. I could feel my heart racing, the seconds ticking by in my head. I knew I had to move, but my body felt frozen in place. Five seconds. Four. Three. Two. One.
“Please, don’t make me do this,” I begged, my voice shaking with fear. But I knew it was no use. I was trapped, and there was no way out. I was at his mercy, and I had no power to change my fate.
“I don’t accept pleas,” he whispered, his breath hot on my ear. His grip on my neck tightened, cutting off my air supply. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes, blurring my vision. He threw me to the floor, the impact knocking the breath out of me. I struggled to breathe, but his hand was still on my throat, crushing my windpipe. I could feel my vision starting to go black around the edges.
“Get out of here!” he yelled, and he threw me to the floor. I landed with a crash, the impact jolting through my body. I scrambled to my feet, my hands grasping at my throat, as I ran from the room.
I glanced around, my cheeks burning with embarrassment, making sure no one had seen what had just happened. Then, I fled as fast as my legs could carry me, one hand covering my chest and the other trying to shield my modesty. I felt completely exposed, both physically and emotionally.
I raced to the closet door, my hand grasping the doorknob. I tried to turn it, but it wouldn’t budge. I pulled and twisted, but it remained locked tight. Panicking, I turned and ran to the next room, hoping to find another way out.
The sound of approaching footsteps filled me with dread. I could hear the voices of two men, chattering as they got closer and closer. I felt my heart pounding in my chest, my thoughts racing. I had to find a way to hide before they saw me like this. My eyes darted around the room, searching for anything that could help me.
I heard the doorknob turn, and I knew I had to act fast. I lunged into the room, not even bothering to see who was opening the door. I landed on the bed with a thud, my heart pounding in my chest. I tried to catch my breath, the pain from his grip still lingering on my neck.
“See who we got here” I heard suddenly, I turned to see the maid who had shown me to Ryan’s room on my first day here. I felt a wave of relief as I recognized her face, but also a tinge of doubt. What if she was part of whatever was going on? I couldn’t tell what she was thinking as she looked at me, her expression unreadable.
“You’re to blame for this,” she said, her words hitting me like a blast of cold air. “I asked you the same question he did, and you lied to me.” I was stunned. How did she know what had happened?
“How do you know what happened?” I asked, my eyes wide with curiosity. I couldn’t believe she knew about the events leading up to this moment. What else did she know?
“Calm down, Olivia,” she said, her voice calm and measured. “You need to be patient and listen to me.” I was stunned. How did she know my name?
“You’re surprised I know your name?” she asked, her smile broadening. “I know a lot more than that.”
“What do you mean?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. I couldn’t believe this was happening.
“I knew this would happen,” she said, her voice low and steady. “I know what makes him angry, and what he does to people who make him angry. Trust me, you’re lucky to be alive. The last woman who did this…well, let’s just say it didn’t end well for her.”
“He only sleeps with virgins, Olivia,” she said, her eyes boring into mine. “I know this because…”
She paused, and for a moment I thought she wasn’t going to continue. Then, she leaned in close and whispered in my ear.
“Here, take these clothes,” she said, handing me a casual outfit. I could barely contain my gratitude as I took the clothes and put them on as quickly as possible. I hugged her, feeling the warmth of her embrace and the safety it brought me.
“What’s your name?” I asked, curious to know more about this mysterious woman who had helped me in my hour of need. She smiled, and for a moment I thought she wouldn’t answer. Then, she said: “My name is Molly Wilde”
“It’s nice to meet you,” I said, extending my hand. She took it, her grip warm and firm. In that moment, I felt a sense of connection and friendship. Perhaps I had found an ally in this strange and unfamiliar place but something still seem weird about her.
Ryan pov….
I watched as she scrambles out of the room, the anger evident on my face. I couldn’t understand why I hadn’t killed her, when I knew I could have ended it all with a single strike. Yet something held me back. Perhaps it was my humanity, or perhaps it was something else entirely.
There was something about her that I couldn’t place, something that made me feel a connection, even though she had lied to me. I couldn’t bring myself to hate her, or to treat her badly. There was something more at work here, something I couldn’t yet understand.
As I stood there, something about her scent seemed familiar. Suddenly, it clicked. “No,” I gasped, realization dawning. “She’s altered it. She's tampered with the scent.”
My heart pounding, I rushed to my box, dread and horror coursing through me. I reached inside, searching for what I needed. But it was too late. “No,” I whispered, my voice shaking. “She’s ruined it. I’m ruined.”
Ryan Pov….Trembling, I reached out to the box, my hands shaking as I touched the surface. “Please forgive me,” I begged, my voice pleading. “I warned her, but she wouldn’t listen. Please, don’t punish me for her mistake." The box suddenly flashed a warning light, and I felt a wave of fear wash over me.The light turned from red to green, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I carefully placed the box back on the shelf, my hands still shaking. I sat back down on the bed, trying to catch my breath.I had to warn her, to stop her from causing any more damage. I reached up and pressed the alarm button above my bed. Within seconds, the door burst open and the guards rushed in.“Get my wife,” I commanded, and the guards bowed and hurried out of the room.A soft knock ring at the door, and I jumped at the sound. “Come in,” I said.Slowly, the door opened, revealing Olivia, her head bowed and her eyes downcast. “You called for me, my….?” she asked, her voice trembling with fear.I looke
Ryan Pov….I watched her, captivated by the realization that she was afraid. Her eyes darted to the floor, like a mouse being chased by a hungry cat. The fear was palpable in the room, and I could almost feel the tension in her body as she struggled to stay calm.“You’re the one?” I stammered, reaching out to her. She stood pale and shaky, her eyes fixed on me with a look that demanded an explanation. She was emotionless, but there was an intensity in her gaze that shook me to my core. She was the last person I expected to see. I didn’t know if she would save me or destroy me, but I knew I couldn’t let her know how I felt. The best way to hide my feelings was to avoid her at all costs. She thought I was indifferent to her, but from now on I would be twice as distant. With a steely gaze, I pulled my hands away from her trembling shoulders and stepped back.“Just go, Oliver,” I said, my voice cold and distant. I didn’t want to answer the thousand questions swirling in her mind. I watche
Olivia pov… The night approached with a swiftness that surprised me. I stepped out into the garden, letting the cool breeze play with my hair. In the moonlight, the flowers glowed like jewels, and I could feel my worries melting away in the tranquil atmosphere. I took a deep breath, letting the scent of the blossoms fill my senses. For a moment, I felt at peace. The peace was broken by the sound of footsteps approaching. I turned to see one of the maids standing in the doorway, a smile on her face. “Good morning, ma’am. Your husband wishes to see you,” she said, her voice as sweet as honey. But I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anger at her words. “When will you stop calling that man my husband?” I snapped, my anger boiling over. “He is not my husband, and he never will be.” I turned and strode away, my blood boiling. I was sick of being treated like some kind of object to be traded and disposed of at will. I stopped in my tracks, realizing I had no idea where he was. “Where is
The voice was sharp and commanding, but I was suddenly filled with a sense of relief. Who could that have been? My mind raced as I raised my head, my eyes meeting those of Ethan, who was standing by the door, fury burning in his eyes."Get up," he ordered, his voice like a whip crack. Without thinking, I obeyed, rising to my feet. I felt like a puppet, my strings pulled by an unseen force. "How could you disrespect your wife like this?" he demanded, turning to the man who had put me in this situation. "Do you have no respect for women?""You have no right to interfere, Ethan," the ruthless said, his voice dripping with disdain. "This is between me and my wife, and you have no right to stick your nose in our business. Or is she sleeping with you too, since you seem to know so much about our private affairs?" His words hit me like a punch to the gut, and I couldn't help but react. I was furious at his accusations, his insinuation that I was a "cheap slut." I couldn't let him get away wi
Ethan pov…..He stormed out of the room, his anger palpable. I stood there, rooted to the spot, watching the door as it swung closed behind him. That fool. He had no idea who he was dealing with. He thought I had forgotten everything, that I had forgiven him. But he was wrong. I would make him pay for what he did to me, for the pain he had caused. He had no idea what was coming. Once he was out of sight, I scanned the room to make sure no one else was watching. Then, I slipped into the shadows and made my way to the back of the house. I knew exactly what I had to do. I had to set things right, and I would do whatever it took to make sure that man paid for what he had done. He would regret ever crossing me. This was only the beginning. The room was shrouded in darkness, the only light coming from a few flickering candles. I made my way to the far end, where a shadow loomed in the corner, waiting for me. I could feel the tension in the air, the anticipation of what was to come. The deal
Olivia pov .."What is it you want to discuss and why are you moving closer to me, and stop acting strange because you are scaring the living dat light out of me" I stammer out, staring directly into his eyes."I am not scaring you Olivia, I am just trying to do that which is right and of course the best for everyone" he shutters an evil smirk displaying on his face."What the heck do you ever mean by that? what do you mean by you are trying to do what's best for everyone and besides I am not enjoying this show anymore, just quit it""Quit it? well! I am sorry that I can't do that, I need you to be where I ought to be, I need you to take what is rightfully mine which have been stolen from him."Him....? what exactly are you saying about? who did you wrong and what is your rightful position? and what do I even have to do with any of these?""You are the one to help me and that is all I now, Olivia, as for now I want you to follow me quietly now I have kept your husband busy is the parl
Ryan pov….. "She's nowhere to be found," he said, his voice shaking. "I've looked everywhere, and I can't find her." His words filled me with dread, and I stood there, frozen, trying to figure out what to do next. My mind was racing, trying to come up with a solution, but all I could think about was the worst-case scenario. “How long has she been missing?” I managed to ask, after what felt like an eternity of silence. I needed to know how long we had to find her, and I needed to know what to do next. My mind was racing, but I knew I had to stay calm and try to figure this out. “One of the maids said she saw her in the garden not too long ago,” he said, his voice urgent. I felt a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. If she had been in the garden, then she could be anywhere by now. “Has anyone visited her in the garden before she went missing?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. I needed to figure out if someone had been there, and if they might know something about what
Olivia pov…“Surprised?” she asked, a sly smile on her lips as she gazed into my wide-eyed face. I was at a loss for words, unable to comprehend what I was seeing. A face that was exactly like mine, staring back at me. It was as if I was looking in a mirror, except the reflection was alive and speaking to me. I didn’t know what to think or say.My eyes darted around her face, trying to process the shock and confusion I felt. My brain was whirring, trying to make sense of what was happening. It was like I was in a dream, and I couldn’t wake up. All I could do was stare at the woman who looked exactly like me, and try to figure out what it all meant.“I know you’re in shock,” she said, her voice tinged with pity. “I was shocked too, when I first discovered you. I didn’t even believe it at first, but here you are, right in front of me after all these years. I heard your life has been a mess, is that true?” I couldn’t form a response, the words stuck in my throat. All I could do was stare
