Chapter 5

"No they would definitely catch me and even if they don't, they would go back and slay my poor mother because Master Damien is someone who doesn't hesitate to kill as I heard".

"If all the stories said about him were all true, then I better keep to my self" she mumbled and sat still looking out of the carriage windows.

She could not believe she had always prayed to get onto a carriage and rode round the village and the first carriage she would ever get on was the one taking her to her doom.

A place she would work and suffer for the gods knows when and probably would never ever lay eyes on her mother and clan again.

"Oh father what have you done" she muttered in pain. She would never forgive him and hope nemesis catches up with him.

She sighed as the carriage came to a stop and she got down. She wouldn't deny that the castle was breath taking.

Of what use was it to her when she came here as a slave. She preferred her rickety cottage to this huge castle where she was being sold to.

Flowers were laid from the gates to the entrance door in a double roll, Red carpet spread between them reaching the doorstep.

Servants and guards were seen loitering around the castle doing one thing or the other and she sniffed knowing she would be joining them soon.

One of the guard who brought her came to her side. "Follow me to meet the master he said and she nodded and followed him in.

The hallway was so long that she wondered if they were still in the same castle as they kept on walking till they finally got to a big door which she presumed was where she would be meeting the master who she was sold to.

They got to a big hall and he told her to wait there that the master would join him soon.

She sat down and glanced around the hall room. It was equally beautiful but she didn't want to dwell on that "if she had came there on a better reason, she would have been happy to be in the castle. But she came there a slave sold by her heartless father.

The double long wooden opened and she looked up instantly dazed. "Is this the man she was to be his slave" she thought and shivered on her seat.

He looks so tall and scary she mumbled though he is inhumanly handsome but she wouldn't want to admit that.

He wore a long black robe, his hands crossed behind his back and his eyes fixed on her.

He began walking close to her, his eyes not leaving her face. She swallowed and stared down in fright wondering while he was looking at her like that.

She quickly stood up "Good day my Lord" she bowed, her head lowered and her hands clutching her dress.

He walked pass her ignoring her greeting and sat down on a chair few metres away from her.

Master Damien gazed at the ethereal beauty in front of him who was shivering and fidgeting with her clothes.

"She must be a goddess of beauty he thought as he has never seen a beauty like hers.

Her eyes were blue just like the ocean and her skin fair and soft to the eyes, he knew it will be more softer to feel.

Her hair, long straight deep brown, Her nose was small and pointed out and her lips rosy pink and succulent to the eyes.

Just what kind of beauty does she posses for he has never seen one as beautiful as she was.

Master Damien stared at her for a few minute taking in her features as she stood up and greeted him.

Still lost in thought about her, he walked towards his seat and sat down.

"Robin" he called and a guard came running in.

"You called my Lord" the guard named Robin answered with a bow he was also the guard that brought Galene to the hall.

"Where is the girl" he said and the guard pointed at Galene. "There she sit my Lord" he bowed and master waved at him to leave.

He knew she was the one but he just wanted to confirm as he was confused why her father sold her off to him when she was this beautiful and calm.

Any man who has such a daughter should cherish her so much for she carries the beauty of a goddess and would bring good fortunes to him.

"What is your name? He asked looking at her. "Galene my Lord" she said and he didn't miss the way her voice sounded. Calm and serene.

"Hmmm! Galene- Peace" He muttered and she nodded "Yes my Lord you got the meaning" she said and Master Damien frowned "Peace my foot, I might say you looked beautiful and endowed but for your name, not for me" he shrieked and Galene flinched."Why would he say that"she thought.

"Robin" he called and the guard ran inside. "Yes my Lord" he said and bowed.

"Assign her a room" he said and the guard nodded.

"Come with me" he said and Galene nodded and followed him out. They walked through the hallway and Galene glanced and the hallway design.

He stopped and pointed at a door. "That would be your room" he said and walked out.

Galene pushed the door and peeped in. Having seen no one in the room, she walked in and glanced around the spacious room.

She raised her brows when she saw four beds Lined in the room. "I was thinking I would be left alone she sighed and sat on one of the beds.

"Who are you and what are you doing on my bed" A lady walked out of a door she assumed to be the bathroom.

"Good day, I was assigned here by a guard" she said and the lady nodded and sat down beside her.

"Tell me did any of your family annoyed Master Damien" she asked and Galene blinked rapidly.

"I don't understand you" Galene replied confused.
