Etizia’s POV
It's official. I've become the new Luna of the Alpha King's Pack, and tonight marks our first night together.
"Can I come in, Luna Etizia?" the maid asked.
"Sure, come on in," I responded reluctantly.
Hany, the maid, entered the bathroom holding a dress in her hands. "I've brought the dress you'll be wearing tonight."
I glanced at the seductive nightgown she held. "Just put it aside for now. I'll wear it later."
"The Alpha King wanted me to let you know that he's starting to get bored waiting for you," she said.
My fingers twitched. I hugged myself and muttered, "I'll be finished with my bath soon."
The maid nodded and replied, "I'll be waiting for you outside the bathroom."
As the maid left, I let out a sigh. I couldn't believe I had to serve a husband whom I didn't even love.
But there’s nothing I can do.
I finished my bath and then I slipped into the crimson fabric that the maid had given me. As I gazed into the mirror, my eyes of warm amber fluttered open, while my hair, a rich shade of reddish-brown, cascaded down my back.
Wearing the vibrant red dress made me feel radiant, yet a sense of fear lingered within me.
After a while, I left the bathroom and followed the maid towards my husband's room.
"The Alpha King is waiting for you. Go on in," the maid informed me.
"Hold on!" I quickly grabbed her wrist. "Can I ask you something before I go?"
"What is it, Luna?"
I took a deep breath before speaking. "Is it true that the Alpha King has killed many women in the past?"
"That's absolutely ridiculous."
Before I could finish my question, a voice interrupted me. I turned my head and saw Nox, his face concealed behind a golden mask, standing at the open door.
In that moment, I completely forgot how to breathe.
"I've been waiting for way too long, my Luna," Nox said.
I couldn't help but notice his powerful, muscular chest and his sun-kissed skin peeking out from under his robe. The golden mask he wore added an element of mystery to his appearance, concealing his eyes and nose.
"After making me wait for such a long time, you have the nerve to bring up that strange rumor about me?" he whispered.
My hands trembled nervously.
Did he overhear the question I asked the maid?
Suddenly, Alpha Nox chuckled, "Well, I intentionally let that rumor spread, so it's only natural for you to be concerned."
I couldn't come up with a response to that.
"Anyway..." Nox glanced at the maid and gave her a signal. "Leave us alone."
"Of course, Alpha," the maid replied before exiting the room.
Now alone with the Alpha King, fear gripped my throat, causing my breath to hitch.
“Luna,” Nox called out.
"Y-Yes?" I stammered.
“What are you doing?”
“Huh?”
He pointed out, "You've been standing there like a statue. Come in." Leaning closer, his intense gaze met mine, causing me to tremble. "Step inside my room. It's time for you to face the consequences of making me wait, my dear wife."
As I glanced up, I couldn't help but notice the enticing smirk on his lips.
Is there any chance for her to escape from the rumored monster tonight?

I stepped into the Alpha King's room, greeted by a soft, dim ambiance. The air was filled with the sweet scent of fragrant candles, casting a warm glow.
"I was almost asleep waiting for you," grumbled the Alpha King, breaking the silence.
My heart raced as I met his gaze. "I apologize. I had something on my mind."
"Something worth pondering? What is it?" he inquired.
"Well, you see... This is my first time getting married," I confessed.
“Of course. It would be odd if I married someone who had been married before," he teased. "I mean, other might have done it in human world. But I would not."
His response made me realize how foolish my excuse was. So, in a short span of time, I gathered my thoughts and spoke again.
"What I meant to say is that I'm feeling nervous."
There was a sudden silence that fell upon the room.
Underneath his glimmering disguise, I could feel his intense gaze. It was so powerful that it made me break out in a sweat. The undeniable power imbalance between us was overwhelming.
Then, his voice broke the silence. "Come here. Sit next to me," he instructed, patting the empty space on the bed.
My mouth went dry, and I found myself swallowing nothing but air.
"I hate to repeat myself, Luna. Come here now." A slow smile formed on his lips.
His words had a certain allure, like a raging fire ready to consume me at any moment. Deep within me, a mix of excitement and nervousness made my knees tremble.
Summoning my courage, I approached him and settled down beside him.
"Perfect," Nox praised. "Now..."
"Ah!" I gasped in surprise as Nox suddenly pulled me onto the bed.
Etizia’s POVI let out a gasp as his hand yanked me down.My cheek landed on the soft pillow, and my body jolted. My mind went blank for a moment. Fear crept in as I imagined the worst.Alpha Nox is my mate. His scent captivated me, and my body craved him. But that's where it ended. I never imagined giving myself to someone I didn't love.Yet, I'm just an Omega. What chance do I have against the Alpha's hold? So, when Alpha Nox pulled me onto the bed and positioned himself on top of me, I resigned myself to my unfortunate destiny.‘I just have to close my eyes and endure it all,’ I whispered before shutting my eyes. But then…"Since you made me wait, your punishment is to sleep beside me all night."My husband's deep voice echoed in my ear.As I opened my eyes, I noticed him shifting slightly away. His face was so close to mine, and even behind the mask, I could see the intensity in his dark red eyes akin to a deep wine. The mask couldn't conceal his strong jawline, highlighting his r
Etizia’s POV In the Esquar Pack, I went through the worst. I couldn't eat to my heart's content, couldn't dress up nicely because my stepsister despised it, and was treated like the lowest of the low. I didn't expect my life in the Renoir Pack to be any different. But then, the maid informed me that Alpha Nox had commanded everyone to treat me like their Queen. I couldn't believe it. Why would a merciless Alpha King do such a thing? Could it be because I am his wife? His Luna? His mate? Is it possible for him to do this even without any love between us, but only a bond forged by the Moon Goddess? Days went by, and it dawned on me that Nox wasn't just joking around. "Luna, are you not enjoying the food? You barely touched anything else," the chef in the castle questioned me. I glanced at him and replied, "Oh, I love everything. I'm just too full. You really went all out with this feast. I can't possibly eat it all." "Thank goodness. I was worried my cooking wasn't up to par fo
Etizia’s POVThe first time I experienced love was after I ran away from home. After leaving Esquar Pack, I had to blend into human society. To support myself, I resorted to selling fruits in the market. One fateful day, a charming man approached me and confidently said, "You're an Omega, aren't you?"With just one glance, I could tell he was a werewolf."I've been wondering where that delightful scent was coming from. And it's you," the werewolf said, flashing an enticing smile.Although it was a brief encounter, that's how it all began.I fell head over heels for the handsome werewolf, who introduced himself as Timothy, a rogue residing in the forest.I thought I had finally found my happily ever after. However, Timothy eventually left me.“I found my mate, Etizia. I am sorry. I can’t be with you anymore,” Timothy said, hanging his head in sorrow.Crying, I held his hand and said, “You told me that you don’t care about the bond. That even if you found your mate, you’ll stay with me!
Etizia’s POV I took a deep breath and stood confidently in front of Timothy, with Nox by my side. It had taken a great deal of bravery for me to finally look up and meet his gaze. As I did, I noticed that Timothy's face mirrored my own expression; a strained attempt to remain composed. "Hello, Alpha King," Timothy's wife, a stunning woman, greeted us. Her words prompted Timothy and me to avoid each other's eyes. "It's been quite a while since I last visited," she said, her eyes locked onto mine. Her smile appeared pleasant, but it made me feel uneasy. "And now, I see the Luna. It brings me joy to return, doesn't it, Timothy?" Timothy remained silent, his gaze shifting downwards as he let out a sigh. To my surprise, it was my husband, Nox, who spoke up instead. "It's been quite a while, hasn't it? We just reunited after marrying our respective mates." Observing the two of them, I couldn't help but notice that their smiles didn't quite reach their eyes. They appeared far from ha
Etizia’s POV In the dining hall of the Alpha King’s castle, my heart raced like a horse in full gallop. This was the first time I sat down to dine with my husband and to add to the tension, my ex-boyfriend and his wife were also present. Thankfully, only my ex and I were aware of our shared history. I noticed Timothy stealing glances at me from across the table. To avoid any suspicion from Nox, I kept my gaze fixed elsewhere. As the dishes arrived, I was bewildered to spot my favorites. Was it just a coincidence? ‘There’s no way my husband prepared my favorite foods while knowing that,’ I pondered, glancing at his side profile. The four of us sat in a heavy silence as we began to eat, the only noise coming from the clinking of silverware. In the quiet atmosphere, I glanced around at the group. Clearly, nobody was interested in engaging in conversation over the meal. That’s when my eyes settled on Timothy. ‘He told me he was a lone wolf, but he's actually the Alpha King's br
Etizia’s POV What will happen if Timothy and his wife decide to live here? I might live here with constant fear of getting caught. Although Timothy and I broke up, that won’t reassure me that my husband will be fine. I might really die when it happens. ‘Please. Don’t torment me any longer,’ I prayed to the Goddess of the Moon. My steps halted, and the hand that was intertwined with mine slipped away. My focus shifted from my deep contemplations to my husband. He guided me out of the dining area, and only then did I realize my surroundings. As I glanced around, we found ourselves in the garden. Without turning around, Nox expressed his gratitude, "I appreciate you accompanying me to welcome my guests." I gazed at his strong, broad shoulder. “But there's no need for that. I'll handle our guests," he said. Now that we're alone, it seems like he's dropped the act of being my loving husband. It was all just a show, after all. "I'll head back to my office," Nox muttered as he
Etizia’s POV How much time did he spend waiting for me? How many hours did he sit on the bench just to catch a glimpse of my face? Has he been doing this every single day since he arrived in this place? These thoughts swirling in my mind made me realize that I haven't completely moved on from this man. And perhaps that's why I found myself frozen in place, unable to take my eyes off him. Luckily, I noticed the ring on his finger, which prompted me to glance down at my own ring. "Snap out of it, Etizia. You and him are both married," warned Genivie, my wolf. I exhaled and shifted my gaze towards the North. "I heard that you and your wife recently moved here, brother-in-law. I hope you both have a pleasant stay. Well then, I must be on my way." I took a step forward. But Timothy obstructed my path. "Where are you going?" he inquired. I forced a smile and replied, "I don't believe it's my responsibility to disclose my destination to you." "Indeed, it isn't. I was simply curio
Etizia’s POV “Who made you cry?” Nox’s questions sharpened all my senses. I felt the rising tide of fear from my head to toe. With my paralyzed legs, I looked at my husband, who caught me crying over another man. I was unable to run away. The Alpha King leaned closer. His hand wrapped around my waist, and he pulled me. Once a close contact was made, his lips went near my ear. “You have the scent of another male wolf. Was it him who made you cry?” he whispered. SHIT. DO I SMELL LIKE TIMOTHY? “What did he do?” My husband murmured. “Do you want me to punish the bastard who made you in this mess? Just say a word.” Fear coursed through my veins like a dark river as I pulled away. "I saw your brother," I confessed, my heart pounding in my chest. Inside, I was screaming as Nox took a step back and locked eyes with me. "I was heading outside when I... when I ran into Timothy," I continued, the words spilling out. "We talked about the rogue wolf who rejected me. Timothy didn't do a
