Chapter 19: Drunk (1)

Dylan's POV

Not long after I reported to Bernie when I returned Chloe actively sent me my account number to receive money for coffee. I don't know who she was advised by, but obviously, this action made me equally pleased. Suddenly, it was time to leave work, and people in the office went home one after another.

Before I left, I noticed that Chloe stared at me for a moment, then left with Scarlet. I breathed a sigh of relief, Chloe really made me feel too awkward. Fortunately, the rest of the office didn't join us in the puzzle.

Knock knock.

There was a knock on the door, and I woke up and turned my eyes to the sound. Bernie is standing at the door, frowning at me: "Why aren't you out of work yet?"

Bernie's tone was the same as usual, I could hardly tell if he was blaming me or not. I pointed to the computer screen, saying, “I'm not done with work today. Doesn't the party start at half past eight?"

After saying that, I looked at the time for a while. It was not yet six o'clock, so I c
