Chapter 17 Regretted After Divorced? No Way!

Christopher’s voice was a low whisper. "Grandpa, I have work to do..."

"Work?” Jonathan roared. “Bah! Stop making excuses! Get back here now! Cough, cough, cough..."

Jonathan hung up.

Forced to face his grandfather, Christopher felt himself growing weary.

The moment he reached the Bolton Manor, his mother Olivia greeted him with a smile.

"Good job, son! You’ve made the correct decision. That Melody is no good, no good at all. A poor woman like her can’t possibly be the honorable Mrs. Bolton!" she said happily.

Christopher frowned.

He had seen with his own eyes how harsh his mother had been to Melody for three whole years. He was quite impressed with Melody—no matter how cruel his mother was to her, she never complained or went against his mother’s will. She had acted with perfection.

"Mom, Melody did a great job as my wife," he said.

Olivia was startled to hear it, and looked at Christopher in disbelief. She didn’t expect her son to refute her.
