After driving by Wisdom's house Beauden and Roarke go to a jewelry store. Beauden is buying Wisdom a coming home present. He still hasn’t told his Beta why his mate left. A pair of 14 K white gold 1.68-carat diamond hoop earrings caught his eye.

“Man, that’s almost four thousand dollars. I know you’re not buying them.” Roarke shakes his head looking at Beauden as if he has two heads. “You have never bought jewelry for anyone before

“Yes, I am buying them for my mate. Wisdom is different, she's my mate and I love her.” Beauden gives the salesperson his credit card. “I’ll buy and do anything to make Wissy happy. Damn, I wish she’ll hurry back.”
