I sighed deeply, trying to ignore the infuriatingly smug expression on Noah's face. It wasn't the first time he had insulted me with his so-called compliments. I knew he didn't really mean them, but that didn't make them any less irritating.

"I wish you wouldn't call me that," I replied, keeping my tone as neutral as possible. "You know I don't like it."
