After their fistfight, we decided to bring him here to our house since it is the nearest place for us to go. Though he insisted that he is fine and we must attend our class, we still followed what I wanted. My conscience would not be at ease if I can't assure that he is totally fine and treated.
"Ouch!" Jordan groaned as I put a cold compress on his bruise.
I placed the ice bag on the center table before apologising to him. He didn't respond, instead, his lips formed into a thin line.
Until now, he still has the urge of killing Blake after he saw the video that I wasn't expecting to spread. I shifted my view on him who was looking directly into my eyes. I can't read his emotion and what exactly he is thinking right now but one thing is for sure, he didn't like what he saw.
Despite our current situation, I still feel like the universe is on me knowing Marcus is not around while I'm in trouble and a bit rue that he can't meet Lily in person again.
I moved a little to keep a closer look at him. I held his hands and pressed it lightly. "Okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to keep it on you. I was about to tell you that accident yesterday in my office but–" I stopped when I saw Jordan is not listening anymore. His other hand reached his phone beside him and typed something.
My brows formed in a furrow when he brought up the phone to his ear. And in a second, my eyes widened when I heard him calling Marcus' name.
I quickly grabbed the phone, pushed him hard causing him to lay down on the couch and in an instant I covered his mouth. I shot him threatening glares but he still kept his steel stare on me.
"Marcus!" I greeted acting as if nothing happened.
"What's with the sudden call?" he confusedly asked.
My heart is pounding and my brain can't think of any excuse. This would surely take a long explaining to do if he will also know about this thing. Jordan on my side was trying to pull off my hand over his mouth but I pressed it hard enough for him to groan and locked on the couch.
"Amber? Still there?"
I cleared my throat before answering him. "J-Jordan doesn't believe me that you are out of town that's why he called. Yes, that's it. He misses you," I said trying myself not to stammer and fakely laughed.
I heaved a sigh of relief when I heard him laughing on the other line. "Tell him I'll be gone for a week and we will drink endlessly when I come back," I nod as if he could see it.
"Alright then, take care, Marcus! I need to go, I still have my class," I lied.
I hope my soul won't burn in hell.
"Alright, gotta go," he said before ending the call.
I inserted Jordan's phone in my pocket while releasing him at the same time. I was stunned by the next thing that he did, he locked me in his arms searching for a possible area where I can keep his phone.
"Give it back to me, Amber. Marcus must know this and you lied to him!" he insisted. Before I could speak up, Lily appeared on our sight carrying a tray of juice and snacks.
"Stop that Jordan. Have a drink first to freshen up your mind. And please release her or else I will tell Marcus that you are hurting her," Lily dictated, giving me a wink.
As Lily ordered him, he pulled himself away from me and sat on the edge of the couch with a blank face. She mockingly laughed while putting the tray on the center table before placing herself in the middle of Jordan and me.
"Thanks, Lily," I mouthed, taking a glass of orange juice she prepared.
Lily then took another glass on the table and gave it to Jordan who didn't refuse. He took a sip before putting it down to its original place.
"Are we going back to school now?" Lily suddenly asked. I shrugged as an answer 'cause I don't want to see the blue-eyed gangster who is really fond of ruining my day.
"Now, explain," Jordan deadpanned, leaning himself on his seat. I rolled my eyes in disgust as I remembered the scene again.
I shook my head and cursed his name a lot of times in my mind. Damn that guy!
I told them the whole story starting the second I stepped out in the cafeteria with a wet shirt up until I slapped Blake two times. It may be rude for him but he deserves that couple slap.
"Gosh! You did that?!" Lily guffawed in disbelief while Jordan released a smirk.
She must be very proud of me slapping the famous new student. I admit this was the first time I slapped and fought a guy in the school because I avoid troubles as much as I can. But for now, I crossed the borderline.
"I want to pull off all his hair that time if only I'm not in a hurry," I informed them.
Jordan hunched, rested his elbow on his lap and met my gaze. "You don't have any idea about that?" he asked in confirmation.
"Exactly! I was surprised about that video actually and the worst thing, it might hit my good reputation," I answered, forming my hands into balls.
My best friend sitting next to me patted my shoulders giving me an everything-will-be-alright look. I smiled at her and swiftly hopped to swap our position. I face Jordan and jotted my bottom lip down, giving him my most puppy dog pout but he still kept his steel glare.
"Please help me. Please don't tell Marcus about this. Please Jordan, please?" I pressed my palm together below my chin making my best to convince him through my pleading puppy eyes.
He looked away causing me to smile secretly. I know I would win this argument. And in just a second, he heaved a sigh of surrender forming my lips a toothy grin.
"Alright," he said. I extended my arms on him to say that I am very glad while Lily oohed in amusement.
"Just promise me that this would be the last time you will lie to Marcus," I instantly nodded at him and mouthed a thank you.
"You know what, I know you don't have any plans of going back to school now," Lily started on our side, we looked at her confused. "Do you consider having a movie marathon?" she continued with a convincing look.
"Great! We can have it in my room," I said, giving Lily a wink.
"Sure thing! I'll prepare chips and popcorn," she volunteered, I shook my head when she hurriedly ran in the kitchen.
Now, she's acting as if she's the owner of this house. Jordan chuckled on my side placing his arms on my shoulders.
"Let her be, she might be familiarising your home for Marcus," he said wiggling his brows.
I didn't respond, instead, I dragged him to my room. Jordan is like a brother to me so I don't see any malice and wrong if I took her in my room. Besides, Lily will be here in a few minutes.
I felt relieved after the long explanation yesterday. Maybe I should ship Lily and Marcus as soon as possible so that she could also defend and cover me to him. My ever-loyal friend is always willing to support all of me.And because we ditch our classes last day, I decided to enter the school one hour before our normal class schedule. In case I missed something,
The Annual Masquerade Ball is one of the most awaited parties of the school where they feel the excitement of meeting their lovers hiding in a mask. Others were up into the suspense it brought to their first and last dance. They must be so excited about this that's why we have to work hard and meet their expectations. As soon as my class ended, I went straight to my office. I called a meeting for us to plan for the upcoming Masquerade Ball and come up to different suggestions. The good thing about my officers is their creativity and support. After the planning, they went to the Gymnasium to check the area while here I am still arranging the piled papers and reports to be done."Hey, aren't you gonna go home yet?" Lily asked the second she gets into here with Jordan.I shook my head before meeting her sight. "No, I still have to go to the Gymnasium," I replied, she nodded in un
My good holy Lord, I have lots of dreams in life. I want to travel around the world, manage our company and have a happy family. I don't want to die young! But if this would be my last time breathing in this universe, I hope I would be reincarnated and meet my friends in my second life. How ironic it is to die just because of a scissor and a moron above pressuring me to hand it to him.I was stiffened in my position after my back hit onto something hard. I don't know if I am now paralysed or dead but one thing's for sure, I can feel my heart beating so fast.My heart continues pounding with a heavy breath inside me, I don't know if this is the sign of dying but I heard someone clearing a throat near me."Ms. President, wake up," a familiar baritone voice whispered in my ear, giving me goosebumps.Am I alive? No, I am alive! I am certainly alive!
"Yes Amber, I'm with your parents right at this moment," Marcus said on the next line.He called me just a few minutes after I arrived here at school. It was literally hard for me to wake up without someone shouting in my room when it's getting late. No one would remind me to eat first before going to school and chitchat me nonsense stuff until we both get tired talking. I miss him already. No Marcus for a day is dreary and hard for me."When will you come back? I miss you already. No Marcus with me eating breakfast, lunch or dinner is such an empty lonely day," I pouted."Oh, how sweet of you Amber. Maybe no more than a week, I'll be back.""That's great! I will wait for your comeback then. Please send my regards also to my parents," I said with a half smile.Heading my way in the cafeteria, I saw Blake together with the self-entitled Queen bee and
"Hello?! Is anybody here? Can someone hear me?!" I yelled so many times near the door. Hoping for a miracle to happen. I searched for things which could at least help me escape here but I only saw scissors. I forced myself to insert it on the locked door but accidentally slipped causing my hand to have a little cut. When I failed, I chose to sit on the floor. What if someone hasn't heard me. All the students on the campus were already resting themselves comfortably on their home. And all I can do is to wait here until tomorrow morning. I will sleep here all alone with flying insects or rats running nearby. Gosh! I'm getting paranoid. I stood up and kicked the door making my feet hurt. I don't know what I should be concerned about first. Either my growling stomach, my wound or how to escape here. I shouted once again as loud as I could. I don't care if my veins would be cut off or my voice would turn hoarse. My desire to escape here prevails. But… I see no hopes here.Maybe I shoul
I stared at Kuya Jon's phone for a minute. I can't memorise any of their numbers. Even mom, dad or Jordan's contact. I made a facepalm and simultaneously snapped my fingers on the air. Think Amber! Think!"Is there a problem, Ms. Ferrer?" Kuya Jon asked in curiosity.
The next day, I asked Lily to have lunch with me. I can't eat well in dining alone, it feels boring and empty. For the past few days at home, I ate only a few and sometimes asked our housemaids to eat with me at the table. With much presence around me while eating is better."Amber!" Lily greeted as soon as she arrived here in the cafeteria. She planted a kiss on my cheek before putting down her books and bag on the table."I missed you, Lily!" I exclaimed, grabbing her hand to sit beside me.She groaned a little when her waist bumped on the table. I smiled sheepishly and gave her a peace sign. She rolled her eyes then hugged me tight."It's been a year or a decade since we last met," we laughed when she said those words in sarcasm. She pulled herself away from me. "Do you have colds?" she asked, scanning me up and down before touching my forehead. Y
I looked up to meet Jordan's sight. I made a half smile then scratched my cheek."Why are you crying, Amber? Any problem?" he asked again.I rubbed my eyes and jotted my bottom lip down. "My eyes have dust inside, so itchy," I lied. Lily on my side gave me a wink.He drew near me then scanned my face and eyes. I crossed my finger at my back, wishing him to be convinced. My lips instantly curved when he cupped my face."That must be very itchy. Do we need to call your doctor?"Uh-oh. Doomed."No need Jordan, she's fine. I already checked her. I'm hungry, can we have our lunch?" Lily said, holding Jordan's arm. He pulled himself away from me and stood up straight."Sure. Let's get in, my treat," he answered. Lily and I exchange stares. Those war freaks are still inside.I
