The Deadly Rogue

Scott accelerated his vehicle at high speed. He repeatedly called their patrol team leader, who was also the Beta of the pack, Gordon, but there was no answer. Mila’s words still echoed in Scott’s mind. The dangerous rogue, responsible for killing several members of a pack in the city. If Scott were to be late and something happened to his pack members...

The thought made him grip the steering wheel tightly.

It was overcast outside, and it seemed like rain would fall soon. Despite the poor condition of the road through the middle of the forest, Scott pressed the gas pedal, as this shortcut led to the Silvercrest territory.

Suddenly, something crossed in front of his car. He jerked the steering wheel to the right, causing the car to skid and nearly hit a tree.

Scott widened his eyes, not because of the accident he just experienced, but because of the figure that had just passed in front of him, causing this situation.

A werewolf.

Scott knew all the werewolves in his territory, including their forms when they transformed, and he had never seen this particular werewolf before. There was no doubt it was the rogue Mila had mentioned.

Scott quickly got out of the car and chased after the werewolf. Along the way, he removed his shirt and shifted. His pants ripped and fell apart as his body muscles convulsed and enlarged. Black fur covered his entire skin, along with his hands and feet that turned into claws.

Once he entered the forest, Scott had completely shifted.

The rogue didn’t seem as big as he had imagined, even appearing small for a male werewolf. However, Scott couldn’t afford to be careless and underestimate his opponent based on their physical appearance.

He stopped to smell the air. His wolf growled as his nose caught an unfamiliar scent. A mixture of vanilla and coffee, with a hint of sweetness that was intoxicating. Although Scott didn’t recognize this scent, strangely, it seemed to calm his wolf. His wolf wasn’t as agitated as it should be after the recent accident. It even instructed Scott to lower his emotions.

Following the scent, Scott arrived at an open field, the border area between Silvercrest and the neighboring pack’s territory. If the rogue managed to escape to the other territory, Scott would have to inform that pack’s Alpha. Hopefully, he could disable the rogue here. A few meters ahead, there was a cave. Looked like the rogue was hiding in there.

Scott’s wolf growled and cautiously approached the mouth of the cave. He couldn’t see inside because it was very dark, and the cloudy weather limited his visibility. The forest was eerily silent, with his breath being the only sound he could hear.

At the precise moment Scott was in front of the cave’s mouth, the rogue emerged and lunged at him from within the cave. They collided and rolled on the ground. The rogue sank its fangs into Scott’s neck, but he quickly freed himself and retaliated by sinking his own fangs into the rogue’s neck. The rogue growled and clawed at Scott’s side. Its claws were sharp and deep, causing Scott to feel his blood flowing out.

After successfully injuring Scott, the rogue disengaged. Now, they stood a few meters apart, glaring at each other with intentions to kill.

For a werewolf, Scott admitted the rogue was quite strong. Nonetheless, he believed he could win. He had to end this fight quickly and kill the rogue before it reached the heart of the territory and endangered his pack.

Scott lunged and rammed his snout into the rogue’s chest. The rogue roared and staggered. As Scott leaped and threw himself onto the rogue, the rogue rolled and managed to dodge his attack. Consequently, Scott fell hard to the ground and whimpered in pain. Seemed like his shoulder bone had cracked. However, that wasn’t a problem, as werewolves had the ability to heal themselves.

They continued to fight, hurting and biting each other until both were exhausted. Scott couldn’t believe how this rogue could match him, the future Alpha.

The rain started to fall, making the ground wet and slippery. The battle became even more difficult.

As the rogue ran towards him, mouth open, ready to deliver a deadly bite to him, he waited until the last second before skillfully avoiding the attack and delivering a fatal bite to the rogue’s chest. The sound of bones crushing and a heartbreaking howl filled the air before the rogue fell to the ground.

Scott stood on all fours, waiting for the rogue to move. However, only its short breaths and rising and falling chest indicated that the rogue was still alive. It couldn’t fight back anymore.

Scott’s recent attack had been extremely fatal, and no other werewolf could withstand it. Until the end, this rogue impressed him with its fighting abilities. If it were part of Silvercrest, it would undoubtedly lead their patrol team. Unfortunately, Scott couldn’t let this rogue live and endanger his pack.

Now was the right moment to end the intruder’s life.

Scott growled and approached. Puddles of water soaked his feet and fur and also soaked the rogue’s body. It looked pitiful. Scott’s wolf let out a soft howl, a sound as if cut from anguish. He didn’t understand why his wolf behaved like that.

Scott opened his jaws and prepared to plunge his fangs into the rogue’s neck to crush it. Its death would be swift.

However, as he was about to aim his fangs at the target, he saw a shimmer in the air, showing that the rogue was about to transform into its human form.

The transformation made Scott halt his action. For some reason, he wanted to wait and see what form the rogue would take, capable of matching his fighting abilities.

The silver fur of the rogue slowly vanished, and its four legs turned into a pair of hands and feet. Hair emerged, flowing from the top of its head and cascading down to its chest. The hair was beautiful, a silvery blonde, like a waterfall kissed by sunlight.

Scott was stunned as he gazed upon the naked body lying before him.

The rogue was... a woman?
