CHAPTER 58: Proposing a war

Cassius’ POV~~

Second day of the conference.

We were all sitting down on a fur-covered couch behind a sturdy, rustic table crafted from weathered wood adorned with intricate carvings of wolves, moons, and ancient symbols.

The surface of the table was scarred and worn, bearing the marks of countless gatherings. The tables’ legs are shaped like tree trunks.

“Let’s observe a minute of silence for the demise of Alpha Damian Ironclaw, Alpha of the Wolfsong Dominion Pack,” a gray-haired old man announced as a hush fell over the conference room, obeying the order of the old man. The man is one of the council of elders of a neighboring pack in our county.

He was wearing a large knee-length jacket that was slightly open to reveal his sun-baked, bare chest, loose pants, and combat shoes. A typical dressing for elder wolves. He was seated among the other pack’s elders. The majority of them have lines on their weathered faces that tell the tale of their old ages.
