135 - I'm Ready For Second Baby

"Ah, dear. Are you awake?"

Just as I finally made it out of the room—leaving Matthias behind, of course—the first person to greet me was my mother.

I didn't expect to find her in the family dining hall, at this hour of the day.

'It's a good thing I took a shower and got rid of all the unnecessary marks on my body. I didn't expect to see mom here!' I panicked. Going all day without coming out of my room on a wedding night was embarrassing even for me.

"Why don't you just go to bed, hm? It's still afternoon. I'll call you when dinner is ready," she said in a very gentle voice, as usual.

Just as I was enjoying her smile, I realized that my mom was babysitting Starling, who had woken up from her night's sleep. She was holding the tiny baby in her arms, looking very happy and joyful.

I immediately tried to take over Starling's care from her, considering she was a guest here.

"Ah, no problem. Let your Mom do it," she replies, rebuffing me subtly when I'm ready to hold the baby. "You must ha
