When Aiden had said dinner, I had expected some fancy hotel where everyone could see us but he just had to take it to the next level.

"What's the meaning of this?" I ask looking at the entrance in distaste.

"You said you wanted publicity for your show. Here we are. Are your guys ready?" I scoff finally understanding why he made me wear a dress before coming here. I take my phone out and call Troy telling him that we're ready to get out. Troy tells me to wait for a minute to set up the equipment. I cut the call and look at Aiden who's typing something in his laptop and so I don't bother informing him what Troy just said.

"You said we're going to dinner." I blurt out still in shock. I've tried so hard dodging the paparazzi and large events like this and if I'd known this was it, I wouldn't have come. Aiden doesn't say anything. My phone pings with an incoming text and I look down to see Troy just texted saying that they are ready.

"It's time." I announce and Aiden saves his work then shuts his laptop and gets out. He does look good in his suit and white shirt even though it seems the same as the one I saw him in last time. And all the other times. He offers me his hand and I almost reject it but I see people already crane their necks trying to see who I am. With a fake smile, I offer him my hand. Cameras start clicking when I'm out.

Instinctively, I place my hand on Aiden's arm and slightly squeeze as I take in a large breath. I'm never prepared for these places. I didn't go out that much with my family but when I did, I would always have my parents and sister there. Right now, I feel like I'm under the spotlight.

"Come." Aiden says as he places his hand on the small of my back. I smile trying to hide my discomfort then walk beside him to the entrance.

"What's happening here? What event is it?" I ask once we've passed the paparazzi.

"An auction. I have a private booth set up. We'll have dinner there." He explains and I glare at him.

"And you didn't care to tell me that because..."

"I don't have to explain everything I do and please just shut up for a minute." With that, I stop walking and he bumps into me because of the sudden halt. I look around and the only people I see are almost turning around a corner. As soon as they do, I turn to Aiden Kings with a glare.

"What did you just say to me?" I hiss. Who is he to talk to me like that? Just because he's helping me with something doesn't give him the right to speak that way to me.

He lets out a frustrated breath. "Can we do this later? I have to be somewhere else."

"You know what?" I start and he glares at me. "Just go on without me. The deal we had between us is over." I know this might have consequences with the show but I'm not ready to deal with some egoistical jerk who thinks that the world revolves around him. He looks at me for a second before nodding.

"Fine. I'll give you a ride." He agrees surprising me. I didn't think he would but a few minutes with this guy is torture. I thought we'd get along given that we had spoken when we were at the club and his office and they were nice talks. I almost thought he was a nice guy. But today, he came to the and ordered me to go out with him, then took me home and went straight to my closet and took a dress that he thought would look good me. He didn't even tell me where we're going! I mean, I'd have found all that sexy if we'd be dating or close but I don't know the guy, he doesn't know me, we just met a few days ago and now he's trying to be this controlling person and I hate that.

I increase my pace walking towards the entrance but Aiden increases his too. Just before I get out, he holds my arm making me stop. I look at him in confusion.

"Paparazzi." He says then walks beside me. I had even forgotten about that part. I try smiling once again when we get out and they ask questions that we ignore. We find Aiden's car waiting and I wonder what time he talked to his driver. I get in and he follows. I move further away from him and rest my head against the window. Aiden tells his driver my address and the car starts moving.

Ten minutes away, Aiden's phone starts ringing. I had shut my eyes earlier to avoid any conversation with him and so I don't open then. I feel his eyes on me for a second before he speaks.

"Kings." He responds in an authoritative voice. "What do you mean they are gone?" he now sounds angry and I inwardly smirk. I might not know the reason he's mad but right now I just wish nothing to go his way. I'm so mad at him.

"Get all the men there and I'll join you in twenty minutes. Kill everyone apart from two of them. We'll take them in for questioning." With that, my eyes snap open in surprise. What the hell? Aiden hangs up the phone and starts typing something and I don't move.

"Kill everyone?" I mumble my wide eyes still staring at him. I try speaking for a minute but I can't. "You seem to be very busy. I can walk from here." I finally say but Aiden doesn't stop typing and I lean towards the driver. "Stop the car. I'll be fine here."

"Sit still. We're taking you home." Aiden orders. I want to argue but I choose to remain silent. "Who are you going to kill?" I blurt out my voice confident. I don't want to show him that I'm afraid. He could use it against me. Aiden stops typing and looks at me calmly.

"You signed a contract two days ago. Whatever you see or hear, is your secret." He reminds me and I nod now realizing what the contract was for. I had always wondered why he would make sign a silence contract.

"Are you really part of the mafia?" I ask as my heartbeat increases.

"Am I?" He mocks leaving me even more confused. The car stops and I look around to see that we're outside the building that I stay in. I get out and shut the door. The window next to me is rolled down making me Aiden visible to me.

"I'll come to your office tomorrow at noon."

"No, the deal's off."

"I never agreed."

"But you said you'd drop me off. You insinuated that you did and that is good enough for me."

"You do business. I didn't expect you to insinuate things. It was supposed to be a yes or a no and I said none. Have a goodnight. I'll see you tomorrow at noon."

The car leaves as I stare at it dumbfounded. This guy has some nerve. And what was that about? Kill everyone apart from two? Could the rumors be true? Oh God! Should I call the police? "You signed a contract two days ago. Whatever you see or hear, is your secret." He had reminded me as if he knew I'd call the cops. Should I follow him? Just then, Kelly arrives in her car. I run to her.

"Kels I really need your car."

"What? Why?" She asks confused.

"My keys are in the house and I might lose him if I don't leave right now." This leaves her even more confused but she gets out and hands me the key.

"Should I be worried?" I shake my head no as I give her a small smile. When everything is ready, I speed off towards the same direction I saw the black car go to. I hope that I don't lose them or better yet, don't die. Luckily, I see the car turn towards the highway and I follow it trying to keep a distance. I do so for about twenty minutes until they take a diversion. I switch off the headlights and start following them. I see two cars ahead that have stopped. I stop mine immediately as the men with guns get out and start aiming towards Aiden's car.

"What should I do? Why did I come?" I start asking myself out loud as my heart starts beating frantically. For the first time, I'm so glad that Kelly's car is black making it inconspicuous. 'I should just reverse slowly and get the hell out of here. It's getting even darker and I just have to reverse for a few meters then make a U-turn. By the time they notice, I'll be long gone.' The plan seems easy. And when I'm gone, I'll make an anonymous call to the cops. Easy!

With that in mind, I start reversing. I look ahead to see the three cars getting further and further away and a smile starts forming on my face but it's completely wiped out when two more cars suddenly appear behind me making me hit the brakes. The excitement turns into fear when two armed men get out and come towards the car.

"Get the fuck out." One of them shouts and I check to see if every door is locked. I shake my head negatively. One of them stops and listens to something in his ear and tells the other one something I don't hear. They immediately start walking to the car. The get in and leave making me let out a long breath.

"That was easy. Too easy." But I don't care. I turn so that I can continue reversing but a man's figure is in the middle of the road making me hit the horn by mistake. The horn to makes me jump in my seat. The man starts walking towards me and little by little I realize that it's Aiden!

I thought that I've been following him the whole time.

"Get out Alexandra." He says when he's next to my window. Just like the other men, I shake my head negatively. I shouldn't have followed him. I would have been in my apartment having dinner that Kelly made as I watch the news. I would have called dad to know how he is but instead I had to follow this man here.

"Open the door Alexandra. I have no time for games." Aiden tries again but I shake my head no. I start reversing again but he takes out a gun from his waist making me hit the brakes. Is he going to shoot at me?

"Get out!" he says walking in long strides towards me. I don't move and he shoots towards the sky making me open the door immediately.

"I'm out. Please don't shoot." I say with a whimper and he scoffs.

"Pathetic." He says under his breath as he rounds me to the car and checks everything. He takes my phone and drops it on the road the steps on it, breaking it.

"Come on." I get up and we get into the car and he starts driving back to the highway.
