CHAPTER 10

The romantic dinner she thought was going to happen between her and Noah had to be just a plan. Ruby was forced to turn down Noah's invitation to dinner; she was trapped in her apartment on the orders of Mr. Victor Antony! He asked her to move out tonight. Crazy man! Oh! God, that's what Ruby said every time Victor provoked her to anger. His ignorant hands kept touching Ruby's things, which were separated into cardboard boxes.

"It's too old; throw it away." Victor looked at the items that Ruby didn't deserve but still wanted to carry.

"You keep saying you want to throw my stuff away. Don't you forget, none of this was bought with your money!" Ruby retorted, taking the small display in Victor's hand.

"I know all this ugly stuff didn't come from my money. But what's the harm in throwing away useless, barely usable things?" Victor returned Ruby's words, his hand again trying to touch Ruby's items but Ruby quickly moved it away from Victor.
