Chapter 4

Sofiya

He grabbed me by the hand and pulled me into his office. He shut the door while he still had my hand in his.

"What brought you here? He asked with anger. What do you mean? He lost it.

Stop sticking your nose into my business if you know why you came here. He grumbled. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I apologized. He let go of my hand and walked to his desk, where he sat down and looked at me.

Listen, Ms. Sofiya. Laura will get in trouble if you ask her any more questions about this house or me. He said. "Please don't ask her anything, I won't. Anymore. I said. Very good. Then, woman, act yourself. You didn't come here to learn about me and my family.

I swear I won't. I said.

I left his office and went to find Laura to tell her I was sorry. I saw her going into the laundry room with a basket full of dirty clothes.

Hey Laura! She saw me and smiled, and I smiled back. How are you? What's going on? She asked out of worry. Everything is fine, Laura. I answered. Why are you afraid of him, Laura? I asked her, but then I remembered that I said I wouldn't.

Didn't remember that I asked you something. Okay, from now on, don't ask any more questions. But, will you show me around your house? Sure, I'll do it. She answered. She turned on the washer, set it, and told me to follow her.

In the evening, I went to my room and put on my workout clothes. Then I went to the gym, which is in the basement of the house. Laura gave me a full tour of this mansion in the afternoon, but she left out about four closed doors. I asked her why she left out the four doors, and she said that a person like me shouldn't be able to go through them. This house has six wings on the ground floor, three on the second floor, and a separate area for the servants.

The mansion has its own hospital, grocery store, clothing store for men, children, and women at different stages of life, and swimming pool.

She said yes when I asked if they belonged to Adonis. I learned more about what he did for a living. How can one person have everything?

She told me that their Alpha pays for everything, except for clothes, which they buy with their own money. We didn't have enough time for her to show me around the basement, but she did tell me that the gym was down there.

I climbed down into the basement, and when I got to the last step, my eyes got really big. The first thing that caught my eye was the black and gold raindrop-shaped crystal chandelier. The black and gold furniture in the basement went well with the way it was set up. I thought I'd take a quick look around...

There were three more rooms that were all different. A built-in cabinet in the kitchen and a wine bar in the corner. I turned around and walked back through the hall. GYM was written on a sticker on the door to the gym. So that nobody gets lost. They are so helpful. I like that.

When I opened the door, I went in. The gym was also big and well-kept. It had every piece of gym equipment and machine. I chose to start with a treadmill.

I jogged slowly for 45 minutes, then turned off the machine and grabbed the jump rope. Most days, I jump 500–700–1000 times. And how fast I get to 1000 jumps depends on how I feel. I put the headphones in my ears, set a timer, and began jumping ( working out).

Inside the gym, there was a bright light that wasn't there when I got there. I stopped at 400 and took out one earpiece when I saw that it was Adonis.

Before you start working out, you have to open the windows. He said.

Sorry, I didn't know they were hidden windows! I'll remember that the next time. I grumbled. I kept working out and looked over to see him using the hack squat machine. I did a thousand jumps and then sat down to drink water while sneaking looks at him. This man is very good-looking.

He switched from a hack squat machine to a lat pulldown machine while still looking as good as ever. He worked out with his eyes shut. I couldn't take my eyes off his beautiful face.

Do you like to look at people as a hobby? When he asked, I almost spit out the water I was drinking. He said all of that with his eyes still closed, which completely shocked me.

If you're done exercising, just leave. When you're done, there's no reason for you to stay. LEAVE. He said.

"Why is he so full of himself? I asked as I was leaving.

After taking a shower, I went downstairs for dinner. As I walked into the kitchen, I could hear two women talking quietly.

"What does Alpha want with that black woman?"

When I heard them talking about me, it hurt. I made a noise to get their attention, "do you have me in mind? They said "no" in an awkward way and then left. A woman in her late 70s smiled at me and motioned for me to sit with her.

Come here, my love. What are you called? Am called Sofiya. You can call me Sofi, though. Okay, Sofi. My name is Barbara, but most people here call me godmother. She said, "If you don't mind, I'll also call you godmother."" Are you also the mother of Adonis? I asked. "Almost." But he is my leader. She answered.

We talked for a while as we sat there. What's the deal between the two of you? She did.

Um... am just his.... It's time for dinner! From behind us, someone yelled. Godmother, I think we should go get something to eat and then talk later. I stammered.

All of us sat down to wait for the big boy. About 35 minutes later, he walked in, and as usual, everyone stood up. He's not my leader, so I stayed where I was. He looked worried, and his hair was all over the place. I looked at him and then went back to eating.

Everyone left after dinner. As a lady, I took my plate into the kitchen. I saw him get in the elevator, so I ran to get in before it shut. When I tripped over my foot, I ran into him.

"You good?" He asked. Yes, I'm good.

Watch where you step when you run or walk. He said. Still in his arms, we looked at each other for a long time. I quickly got off of him and asked, "Are you okay?"

As you can see, I'm fine. Stop lying, I can tell you are upset about something. I said it in a low voice and was surprised that I already knew. He looked at me and didn't say anything. When we got off the elevator, I grabbed his big hands, but then he was gone.

Listen, Adonis, if..."

Enough people. So far, so good. He snapped, which scared me.

I apologize. I said I was sorry and went back to my room. I sat down on the couch and asked Miss Maria to talk to my brother. She answered the first time the phone rang.

Hello, kid! Hi Miss Maria! How are all of you? We are fine dear. How are things where you are? What's going on? Everything is fine, Miss Maria. What's wrong with Ethan? He's doing much better now. Don't be afraid of him. Just pay attention to your work. You would have talked to him, but he's asleep now. Don't worry, Miss Maria. He'll be fine.

I put the phone down and went outside to get some fresh air. I was about to sit down when I noticed three men standing at the gate looking at me. I didn't mind them because I know they live here. I didn't pay attention to them, sat down, and went to my social media page.

Wouldn’t be too bad of a story, if the dialogue between people didn’t run into one another. Don’t know where one person finishes and the next person begins. They just seem to merge together. Definitely needs some work. Don’t think I’m going any further into this story. Way too much of a hassle.
