Party!

“You were so awesome yesterday,babe!!” Liz exclaimed,taking a sip out of the hot tea in her hand. “ I had no idea you have that fierce spirit in you.”

“The’s the tenth time you’ve said it since we woke up fifteen minutes ago Liz” Eddie smiled beautifully,contented she did something worth remembering. “You know,I’ve decided not to keep quiet anymore,you’ve motivated Liz,expect more.”

They both laughed,enjoying the cup of hot tea.

Eddie and Liz became friends when they were freshers in college,five years ago. It was such a funny experience when they met. Liz actually helped Eddie when she was being bullied by some ladies in her department. Eddie was so helpless then that Liz told her to always stay with her and since then,they’ve been friends,best of friends. After college,they decided to live together before deciding the next course. Liz studied business management in school and works at one of the business companies. While Eddie studied a general course and work as an assistant to the manager of the beverage company she works for,though she’s now jobless

Since they’ve met,Eddie’s dream is to become an actress in the nearest future,a famous one. “Why did you go to college instead of an acting school?” Liz has always asked but Eddie’s response was always the same, “There’s time for everything”she would say.

“What are you going to do?” I mean you’ve become jobless”Liz teased.

“I will go to that damn company today and I will give them a taste of my inner craziness” Eddie said,standing up from her seat.

“Show them what you got baby!” Liz exclaimed,supporting her friend.

No one would have recognized her if not for her physique and her hair. She dressed differently and her demeanor was different too. She wore a pair of black baggy trousers and a pink crop top. She wore pink shoes too and her hair,it was fantastic. Her makeup and the shade she wore was so beautiful that she could be mistaken for a porcelain doll.

She cat walked majestically towards the building in front of her.

“Good morning everyone” She greeted without looking at anyone.

She head to the elevator and pushed the button to the first floor. Fortunately for her,she saw him right where he want him.

“Well,well,well…. Is this not the famous short man of this company” she whined,walking towards Mr James who left his mouth opened at the sight of the beautiful lady. He widened his eyes in shock as he realized who it was.

“And my infamous senior colleagues,I’m happy to see you”she smiled at the other three ladies who was on their chairs,eyes glued to the system.

They all turned to look at that lady whose voice sounds familiar to them. “Who is this…. Lady…. Eddie?”the blonde hair lady with freckles said.

“Yeah,yeah”she replied,walking towards her own desk. “Since I’m no more wanted here,I would like to pack my properties.”

Mr James and three ladies opened their mouth,bewildered by whatever is going on. The Eddie they know is a gentle girl and there’s no way she would dress like that.

“Guess,someone talked sense into you. You look good though” the second lady with brown wavy hair said.

“Well you look bad though. You’ve never been beautiful”Eddie replied nonchalantly while packing her properties.

“Wait what!!”they exclaimed.

Anyone of them would not have believed it if someone actually said Eddie did this,they definitely won’t believe it. Despite the fact that it was happening in front of them,they still found it unbelievable. The former Eddie was a gentle and naïve woman who could not tell if a man has feelings for her.

“And Mr James,you are just to ugly and short that it made me not notice you” She faced Mr James. “I gotta go now,my new boss is waiting for me. See you guys in hell” she added and walked out on them.

“Feels good”she murmured while entering the elevator. When she got to the first floor,she met a man who was waiting for the elevator. She didn’t noticed the man but the man noticed her.

“Eddie Hemsworth”the man called and she looked back.

She widened her eyes in shock, “Logan?”

She widened her eyes in shock as she glared at the familiar man in front of her. She didn’t expect to meet him here,not in this little beverage company anyways. “Is this really Logan?” She asked again to confirm she wasn’t daydreaming. Of course she knew she wasn’t daydreaming but she needs to confirm if her sight isn’t blurry besides she just did something unexpected.

“Eddie Hemsworth. Wow!! You’ve really changed,I mean look at you,you never dress like this in college” Logan teased,grinning ear to ear.

“I actually dressed like this to get my revenge” She replied.

“Revenge on your boyfriend!! Wow,you’ve changed!!”Logan replied,looking astonished.

“It was my boss actually. I was fired”Eddie answered him,rolling her eyes at him.

That was what their friendship entails. They talk about minor things. Logan was the most popular guy in Harvard University then. He was known for his looks and wealth. But he befriended Liz and Eddie during their second year even though it was just a random relationship.

“Gimme your contact,let’s talk some other time.”

And that was the end.

It was always like that with Logan. He never had time to visit them back them in college. “Let’s do this some other time. I’m busy.” That was always his statement whenever he was asked to hangout with them. And eventually it led to the fall of their friendship.

She left the company momentarily after exchanging contacts with him,feeling lightheaded.

“You met Logan!!?” Liz yelled at Eddie who broke the unexpected news to her.

“He hasn’t change a bit and I guess he’s still the busy bee we know” Eddie replied,arranging her clothes. She picked up the clothes she wore out today,remembering what had happened today. She’s jobless now,she thought.

“What’s wrong?” Liz noticed her sudden change of emotion. “Is something the problem?”

“I’m jobless now,you know.”

Liz went closer,initiating a hug. She knew the stress she passed through before getting a job,she knew she was guilty and Liz will be the only one taking care of their necessities.

“Don’t worry about….”

Eddie’s phone rang,cutting Liz off. She picked up her phone,surprised the caller is using a private number.

“Hello” She whispered.

“Is this Miss Hemsworth?” The caller asked.

“Yes… Who am I speaking with?” Eddie replied back,scratching her neck curiously.

“This is Logan,you fool. Can’t you recognize my voice?” Logan teased over the phone,his chuckles filling Eddie’s ear.

“Oh,I didn’t know you would call so I didn’t expect it” She replied.

“I don’t know if you guys are busy. I’m holding a party at my brother’s Villa. Wanna come?” He inquired.

Eddie glanced over at Liz who seem angry because Logan didn’t ask of her.

“I don’t think Liz would love to be at the party” Eddie responded.

“Party.”

Liz sprang up at the word ‘party’ she heard. She immediately collected the phone from Eddie. “Don’t mind her. We will be there in Jiffy. Just send the address.”

“Liz!! I didn’t know you were there. Long time no see. Just send your address,I will send a driver” He replied Liz who was astonished. She kept her excitement,murmuring a thanks before hanging up.

“His driver is going to come and pick us. I can’t believe I’m going to be drive by someone in an expensive car. Oh God!!!!” Liz exclaimed,glaring at Eddie who was smiling sheepishly.
