Chapter 11

In a thousand years, Ethan would have not believed he would be facing something like this. He stood outside his parents' house, a mix of determination and defiance swirling within him.

When he had made the firm decision not to marry Kimberly, he had believed that there was really nothing on planet earth that would made him go back on his word and decision but little did he know that fate had an unexpected turn waiting for him, one that would bring him back to his parents' doorstep just a week later, agreeing to their request and altering the course of his life forever.

As the sun rose the next morning after his ordeal with Kimberly at the bar, Ethan's troubled sleep was abruptly shattered further by his ringing phone.

Fumbling in the darkness, he managed to answer it, his voice groggy with sleep. He didn’t have time to even check who it was.

"Hello?"

"Hello Sir. It's Mike” the person at the other end of the phone said and Ethan instantly stood up from his bed and checked his phone
