Chapter twenty three

Cassandra arrived home shortly afternoon, and all she wanted to do was throw on some comfy clothes and crawl into bed for the rest of the day. Cassandra had upset her best friend to the point of her asking her to leave, and she missed Jason terribly and hadn't heard from him. The past several days had been such a roller coaster of emotions. Feeling mentally drained, Cassandra slept for a good portion of the afternoon and well into the evening hours. She awoke to a dark and quiet house feeling more alone than she ever had before. Hoping she would see that she had voice mails or text messages from Jason and Eloise, Cassandra immediately grabbed her phone off the nightstand.
