Chapter 15

Scarlett watched Adrian leave, and tears immediately clouded her vision. This wasn't what she was expecting; her plan to make him succumb to her charms had failed woefully. What would it take for her to win this man over? It seems like everything she's tried so far has been a total flop, and she needs to try harder.

At that particular moment, she couldn't think of anything; she was way too upset to think clearly, so she thought of getting some rest first before thinking of new ways to make Adrian fall at her feet or on her bed.

She took her stuff into the house and kicked them to a corner; she really didn't need any of those things; it was just a means of bringing Adrian to her house.

She was about to go up to her room when she heard her phone ringing. She searched for it and finally found it inside the purse she had thrown on the couch earlier. Pulling it out, she saw that Nelly was the one calling.

“Hi, Nelly."

“Hey, girlfriend!” Nelly sounded so enthusiastic. Scarlett also noticed
