Chapter 4

Isobel\'s eyes widened in shock.

She raised her head and met Lewis\'s disappointed eyes.

\"I didn\'t expect you to be like this. It\'s all my fault. Why are you angry with me? It\'s nothing to do with Barbara.\"

She opened her mouth, but her explanation suddenly choked in her throat, like a thorn across there, pricking into pain.

\"Do you think... I pushed her?\"

\"I saw it with my own eyes. I always thought that you were just a little cold-blooded, but you were kind. Today I know that the nature of you is to be ruthless and vengeful! I have been wrong about you for so many years!\"

Isobel stood there, unable to believe what she had heard.

She turned to look at Barbara, whose eyes flashed with malice and complacency.

Her heart sank.

After a while, she chuckled with irony.

\"Lewis, it\'s not until today that I find you are so stupid!\"

\"What did you say?\"

\"Nothing. You two love each other very much, don\'t you? I\'ll fulfill your wish. No matter how clean the dishes are, no one will use them to hold rice, right?\"

Lewis\'s face changed. He didn\'t expect this cold and well bred woman to say such vulgar words.

He pulled a long face and said, \"Isobel! Don\'t push your luck!\"

Isobel sneered coldly.

She took out a handkerchief and wiped the place where Barbara had just touched.

\"Well, I don\'t have time to talk nonsense with you here. From now on, please take the Canary beside you out of my sight! I wish you...\"

She rolled her eyes, with a sneer in her clear eyes. \"... a bitch deserves a dog. Forever!\"

After saying that, she turned around and left, leaving them no chance to speak.

Lewis\'s face turned livid with anger. \"What do you mean? Stop...\"

“Lewis……”

At this moment, Barbara\'s arm was suddenly grabbed. With a pale face, she covered her belly and said, \"Lewis, my belly hurts.\"

Lewis\'s face changed. \"Barbara, what\'s wrong with you?\"

\"I don\'t know...\"

Barbara\'s leg was bleeding.

Lewis\'s pupils contracted and he was shocked.

\"Don\'t be afraid. I\'ll take you to the hospital right away.\"

……

Lewis took Barbara to the hospital.

Sitting in the car, Isobel looked at the back of the car and smiled sarcastically.

Instead of going home, she drove to the TL Hotel.

On the first floor of the hotel, there was a large bar. The hall was brightly lit and indulged in dissipation.

She leaned against the bar counter and drank one after another.

Originally, he was not a person who liked to drown his sorrows in wine. But at this time, except for alcohol, nothing seemed to be able to temporarily paralyze the pain in his heart.

In front of Lewis and Barbara, she could pretend to be ruthless, unrestrained and generous.

But only she knew how sad she was.

The love between them for six years was no more than a lie. When she wholeheartedly wanted to grow old with him, he was having sex with another woman.

It was ironic to think about it!

Isobel picked up the glass and gulped down another glass of wine.

Even though she was good at drinking, she was a little drunk now.

The phone in her bag suddenly vibrated.

She took out her phone from her bag and answered the phone.

\"Who is it?\"

\"Sister, you lost again!\"

It was Barbara.

Isobel sneered.

\"You called me just to prove to me how proud you are.\"

Barbara smiled complacently.

\"Sister, you don\'t know yet, do you? I\'m pregnant.\"

Isobel\'s face darkened.

She looked coldly at the dancing crowd on the dance floor and said in a cold tone, \"why did you tell me? I haven\'t fucked you before.\"

\"The baby is Lewis\'s. He just told me that he would marry me soon. In the past six years when you were together, he had never touched you. He felt sick when he saw you.\"

Isobel\'s hands curled up and clenched.

\"You know what? As long as we are together, we do it every day. He said that he had never felt so relaxed and happy as being with me, especially you! You are as cold as a dead person all day long, without any interest.

Other women all know how to serve men gently and considerately. If you change your skin and throw it into the crowd, it will be the man himself! What\'s the difference between being with you and being a lesbian? \"

Isobel clenched her fists.

Her heart ached as if it was pulled by something.

She took a deep breath and sneered.

\"Barbara, that\'s all I want to say.\"

\"Sister, if you are angry, you must tell me. I won\'t laugh at you.\"

\"Why should I be angry? After all, you are the only one who treats the garbage thrown away by others as a treasure. No matter how clean the towel is, it still has a smell of shit. Don\'t you feel sick when you use it to wipe your face?\"

\"You!\"

\"Enough! I have no time to talk nonsense with you! I warn you, don\'t try to provoke me again, because you can\'t afford the price of completely provoking me!\"

Then she hung up the phone.

Her heart ached.

Although she didn\'t say anything, what Barbara said undoubtedly hurt her heart.

She still remembered what Lewis had said when he pursued her.
