Deciding time.

An hour earlier.

As I paced back and forth within the pack house, my mind racing with ideas on how to deal with the ever-challenging Alpha Zane, I turned to my Beta, Alex. With a sigh, I turned to him, frustration evident in my voice.

"We need to do something about Zane. I hate that he has this demand above us and I'm worried about the pack."

Alex leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "I've been thinking about that too, Amanda. Maybe it's time we put our heads together and come up with a plan."

I nodded eagerly, grateful for his support. "What do you suggest? We can't just confront him directly. That never ends well."

A mischievous glint appeared in Alex's eyes, and he flashed me a sly grin. "What if we test him, just like you said but with a different method? See if he's truly changed his ways?"

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his suggestion. "Go on."
