chapter five - Olivíah

The first few days in the house were not that complicated. I even thought it would be worse, that it would be like in the movies where the children tie you down or make your life a total mess. I thought I wouldn't last the first day.

I hadn't been able to get close to Hector, he really was a complicated child to deal with, but his sister Lavinia I had managed to get close to. She was sweet and her manner reminded me a lot of Giselle's when she was the same age. Calm, serene and sweet.

I just hope she doesn't steal her friends boyfriend...

Ok, it was a sin for me to think that because Giselle was dead and Lavinia was just a child. I had to respect the memory of my friend, but just because she was dead didn't mean she was a saint, right?

- Olivia? - The girl took me out of my thoughts - Is it true that you met mommy? I heard Grandma commenting.

- Yes, - I shook my head positively - We were friends, I met her when I was your age.

- Oh yes - She smiled - I have a great friend like that... that's Deborah.

If you don't get her boyfriend when you grow up...she'll still be....

The day was being normal, like any other. I even found it strange because since I had started working in Miguel H.'s house and with his children, nothing was normal.

Bunch of crazy people...

We had just had coffee when the company rang.

In the room came a short woman with short black hair and very thin. She also wore glasses.

- Good morning! - She stretched out her hand after smiling - I'm Lucia, the Social Assistant, could I have a word with Mr. Miguel Henrique?

Iiiiiiiiii....ferrou!!!

- Yes, of course, I'll call him - And I went to the kitchen.

I already knew that the visits from the social worker would happen, because the process for Olga to get the children's custody from Miguel Henrique had already started and then it would be normal the visits of the social worker in the house.

I wasn't surprised at all with Olga's attitude, but she would do anything for money and she certainly wanted to have Lavinia and Heitor for money and not for love.

- Helena? - I'm sorry, but there's a lady in the living room named Lucia. She's a social worker and wants to talk to your son.

- Oh, God! I forgot this detail - She brought her hand to her mouth, scared - Come with me Olivia, help me wake up Miguel. - She turned to Ana,the cook - Go to the living room and try to roll the woman up please?!

- Okay ma'am - Ana nodded.

I went upstairs with Helena. She was nervous and scared.

It was only a short time before she knocked down the bedroom door of her son who would not wake up at all.

Helena was afraid that Olga might take the children away from her son, even because of the way he lived, there were parties, parties, different women and partying. Miguel swore to his mother that he had stopped living in parties, but it was all a big hoax. He had just avoided getting into bigger messes.

- Son, wash your face and please take that whiskey breath out of your mouth," she said as she nervously walked back and forth.

This is crazy...

- For God's sake Mom? - He spoke nervously - You won't need that ok?! Marriage arranged? Engaged? Never!

Ok! The idiot's mother's idea was good but then what? And after the woman came back for another visit? For the first time I had to agree with him, it wouldn't be possible to lie if the lie wasn't going to be kept.

Helena was so crazy that she would do anything to bring Olga down.

We went down to the living room and there was the woman, her face visibly suspicious.

At first she introduced herself and asked Miguel some questions about the children, routine and other things. It was an analysis of the family structure.

- Well, Mr. Miguel Henrique - she smiled - We know that these children need a female example. Do you have any desire to remarry? It is very important that they have a family.

Out of nowhere silence settled over that room. Miguel was moving his hands nervously and I swear I heard his heartbeat. Helena squeezed her eyes shut slowly and breathed tense. Even I found myself nervous at the woman's question.

Miguel Henrique is fucked up..... only not...! I'm the one who got screwed...

- Well...I...-he pulled my arm bringing me to him- I didn't want to divulge it now, even for Olivia's privacy but yes, I'm getting married in 3 weeks.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooi? What do you mean?

I started to look around to see if I could find a hidden camera or to see if I was participating in Gugu's ridiculous pranks or something. But I couldn't find anything.

- Oh yes, of course," the woman smiled. No, lady, that's a lie! I wanted to scream - I even understand your fiancée's side - it's not easy living in the media. But anyway, since my job is for the good of the children, I will explain the situation to the judge.

Somebody get me out of this madhouse?......

- Of course Miss Lucia - The bastard smiled and squeezed my hands intertwined in his - Olivia hates the media and that's why she didn't want to divulge it before. She even lives with the children practically all day long.

- How nice! Anyway - she got up from the couch - I will make another visit soon, next time I will come to talk to the kids the maid told me they are in a summer camp...have a good time.

Ok, I didn't understand anything else. Engaged? Married? To Miguel Henrique? No! Never! This is a nightmare.

Either she was crazy or he was crazy.

I would never in my entire existence marry even if it was a lie with the scumbag.

- Ok! - I frowned - What happened here? - I asked after the woman left.

- From now on until I get custody of my children - He smiled victoriously - You will be my fiancée or better wife Olivia!

Lord Jesus! What do you mean? Is that possible?
