Chapter Five

In the corner of the cafe, a situation that is really far from the crowds. Being a place where Mr.Charmond and Grace enjoy lunch in silence.

Until the dishes that Grace ordered were finished,Mr.Charmond offered several menus back to Grace.But refused,her stomach was full.If she asked for some of the menu back, wouldn't that any much huge debt?

Mr.Charmond only ordered hot coffee to accompany Grace to enjoy lunch. When the dishes arrived, Grace looked very hungry.So Mr.Charmond laughed at Grace attitude that didn't care about the surroundings.

After finishing all the lunch activities on the table,Grace leaned back on the chair.The eyes stared at Mr.Charmond for a long time, the old man invited she to lunch with a specific purpose.

If it's about marriage,then Grace will leave the restaurant without saying thank you.If it's outside of marriage, then Grace will listen until Mr.Charmond finishes all the words without ignoring him.

"Can I speak up, Grace?"Mr.Charmond opened the conversation.

Grace nodded, giving Mr.Charmond one chance to speak.

"It's not about the marriage, i'm proposing to you, it's about Mrs.Launtin,your mother."

"What's wrong with Mrs.Launtin?" Grace replied a little indifferent.

Mr.Charmond corrected his sitting position before telling a long story.He chose the right sentence, so Grace could understand it well.He hoped Grace would immediately understand why her mother wanted marriage so badly.The figure of a man that Grace knew as a biological father, sent a message that disturbed Mrs.Launtin very much.Mr.Charmond also said several threats about Grace being taken by her father.The threat wanted Grace to be separated from Mrs.Launtin.All submitted Mr.Charmond with a lot of evidence.

These words surprised Grace,she had just wanted to find her father whereabouts so she could provide help, but she had found a very sad answer.

This is the strongest reason, why her mother strongly supports Mr.Charmond desire to marry herself.Grace really can't open her voice.

She realized the good that Mr.Charmond did this afternoon was not solely for his own benefit, there was a more correct answer why Mr.Charmond said Grace's future was in his hands.Her father was far more evil than what she thought.

"I don't want to be bad for you, Grace. Regarding my proposal then, i hope it's well thought out.I don't want your mother to lose a daughter she loves so much.I don't want you to be in the wrong hands,it's the same when you run to your father, you will find a marriage that you didn't know about from the start.Someone who may be younger than me,but he may not be able to love you.The man your father chose who never knew his daughter growth until you were a teenager.He never loved you properly, Grace."

Those words were very deep and sharp,Grace's eyes looked at Mr.Charmond to make sure there was a lie.But Mr.Charmond didn't seem to have many secrets about his desire to be able to marry Grace.

"Sorry, Grace.I once wanted to marry you so that my wealth would be kept from being sued by my ex-wife.I actually got you involved there.I just don't want to lie to you, because that is also the truth that is in me."

during their conversation, Grace could not give one answer to Mr.Charmond.

She was really surprised. Was all this a dream?

OH BABY GRACE

Grace put one trust in Mr.Charmond after expressing the intent and purpose of wanting to marry him, after hearing and seeing her father threats to Mrs.Launtin. Grace is getting out of control.

At this time she stood at the door of her mother room to ask many things, she also wanted to convey an apology. The attitude and words she gave to Mrs.Launtin were very bad.

Grace ventured, she had to ask her mother for a deeper explanation about the threats from men who had been present in their lives.

But the door to the room had opened before Grace spoke.

"Grace."Call Mrs. Launtin."What's wrong?"

She was confused,avoiding her mother eyes in front of her."Ehm, i think, i want to talk about many things with you.Do you have time for that, Mom?"She replied.

Mrs.Launtin smiled happily, of course she had plenty of time to sit alone with Grace.She really wanted Grace to know that she was not an evil mother figure to the daughter she gave birth to full of love.

Mrs.Launtin invited Grace to sit in the living room, all the sadness in the bedroom disappeared very quickly.

Grace didn't want to waste time, she immediately asked questions like what she heard from Mr.Charmond this afternoon at the restaurant. Mrs.Launtin beautiful face turned sad.

"What Mr.Charmond said is true?"Grace asked.

Mrs. Lautin nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't want you to recognize your father, Grace.I just want you to hide from him."

That answer made Grace's anger come to her father and mother.

"And you let him hurt you again!" Grace's voice rose.

"Is Mom wrong?"

Grace doesn't understand how her mother can survive her illness alone, when she has grown into a smart girl.

"Does you want to avenge that rotten man's pain?"

"Yes, if you can."Said Mrs.Launtin sadly.

"I have accepted Mr.Charmond proposal, i will give one reply to your pain as a woman whose love has been killed by the man i call father."

Grace words were filled with anger, making Mrs.Launtin really surprised.She reassured Grace words, was everything she did just to please herself. But Grace answered no, she accepted Mr.Charmond to make the man she called father die in her own hands.

somehow, Mrs.Launtin was afraid of herself.Grace is indeed the biological child of a man named Mr.Emeron, but their relationship is not proper as a father and daughter.

"Grace,i don't want you to suffer because of your father."Mrs.Launtin said.

"I just want him to suffer because of me, Mom.Then marry me to Mr.Charmond. I'll introduce you, who is Grace that my father wants to marry to the man of his choice so that he will get richer!" She anger was visible on Grace's beautiful face tonight.
