Chapter 17: The Assigned Nurse

Greg's Pov

I woke up grunting. All my body aches. I can't move my left leg.

"Be careful, you shouldn't move vigorously", I turned to the person speaking to me.

"Mom?".

She smiled at me. Her eyes are puffy. She also has eyebags.

" I'm glad that you're okay."Mom said. Tears are forming in her eyes.

I look away and shut my eyes. Tears are sliding down my cheeks. I immediately wiped it.

" Why are you here ? I want my grandma ", I insisted.

"She will be here to relieve me. She will be the one to look for you today because I need to go back to work. I already took an emergency leave for two consecutive days." She explained.
