Xin nodded before walking back to his car. He closed the door and sank in his seat. He could not believe that the woman didn't even say a word to him.

His heart turned even colder when he remembered how she insisted on not inviting him over. Did she prefer being with Eze over him?

He sighed and dipped his hand in his pockets. He pulled out two strands of hair and looked at them for a while.

In the end, he called his assistant. “Where are you, Birdie?“ He asked.

His voice was so cold that Birdie shivered. "I'm just about to leave the office. What happened?“ He asked. He was scared that his boss's voice could mean something bad.

“I'm waiting outside. Hurry up,” Xin said, and he hung up. He had finally made up his mind.
