Ch10: It was the best night I ever had

I just realized that I had shouted at him when I heard gasps around me. Everyone was looking at me. I froze for a second, then forced a smile on my face.

What was done was done. There was no way I was going to change that. Maybe I could just await the consequences.

Xin, who was walking past me, stopped. I could see his eyes throwing daggers at me. He looked like he wanted to swallow me whole.

“What are you up to, Isabel?“ He asked and leaned closer to me. And I shivered from his coldness. I knew that I must have pissed him so badly.

I hurriedly shook my head. “Nothing. I just need your help. Is that bad?“ I asked and wore a pitiful look. Who said that I could not act pitifully?

“Didn't you say that you would do everything by yourself? Are you giving up in the first ten minutes?“ He asked.

I rolled my eyes at him. “Who said I was giving up? I want you to give me the passcode to your ruined laptop,” I said. Did he think that I wanted to work on the whole project with him?
