NOW is Nathan’s turn to be absent. It was already been a week since Tyler threatened me about that thing that I did to his relationship with Freeda. We are now on our third week of school but thankfully, Tyler didn’t do anything to me about that certain thing... Yet. Maybe because I’m always having Nathan around but I still didn’t tell him about it, of course.
If there is one thing that I learned about the events last week, that is on rule number seventeen of my manual which is to “never meddle in anyone’s life.” Well, that rule is more like minding my own business here at school.
Back to the top, as I’ve said earlier, Nathan isn’t going to school for days now just like what I did before when I got sick. Because of that, I can’t help but to think that maybe, just maybe, I passed a fever into him. I should take it back if only I can. So I decided to visit him later af
PANIC rushed through me instantly when I saw Aunt Jessica’s reddish eyebags. Looks like she’s been crying all night long. I wanted to know why, but I decided to just shut my mouth up for my curiosity could bring me to another trap. I learned that from the rule number seventeen of my manual. “Nathan is in his room, Natalia. Just knock before you enter. You know how grumpy he could gets.” She faked a laughter, but I didn’t buy it. I just thrifty smiled at her instead. As I made my way upstairs towards Nathan’s room, I saw their family picture on the floor with a broken glass frame. I instantly picked it up, before I decided to hang it again by the wall. When I reached the front door of Nathan’s room, I knocked several times, hoping he would answer. But he didn’t. So I decided to ignored Aunt Jessica’s advice and opened the door without anymore words. I barged i
BEING bullied isn’t always as easy as everyone thinks about it. If they thought that I could just ignored it, well, they’re wrong. Not because it was our school bad boy, I should be glad because he’s paying attention to me. No, I would never be thankful for being the apple of Tyler’s eye. “Hey, normie girl!” I was surprised when somebody suddenly clung into my arm. It was Becca, looking happy for apparently no reason. Nathan is still absent so I was left with no choice but to talk to her just to prevent myself for having a spoiled saliva in my mouth. “Hey, Becca...” I tried to add a little bit enthusiasm in my voice, but it sounded like fake. “Looking good. Where’s your nerd bestfriend, any way?” she asked. My mind was half debating if I should tell her the reason why. But I know that Nathan will be mad at me if ever. That topic w
NOW I’m starting to get pissed by the fact that Nathan is still not going to school. I haven’t seen his face for a while but thankfully, Becca is here to fill in the emptiness that Nathan is causing to my system right now. “You know what, I really love Physical Education. How about you, Natalia?” Becca randomly asked. I sighed, remembering that we need to get our school uniforms for P.E. later on. I was traumatized by going in that same locker area because that is where bad things happened to me. But Becca assured me that she’s going to come with me later on to get her uniform as well to avoid anything that could happen to me because of Tyler’s never ending revenge. “Come on, cheer up, girl. I love volleyball.” “And I hate sports.” “Don’t worry. That’s why I’m here. I’ll get the ball before it hits your face.” We laughed in unison, th
AFTER a hundred billion years, Nathan finally decided to show up in school, making my heart jumped in excitement as well as happiness. I badly wanted to tell him everything that happened to me these past few days. And also, I wanted him to meet the new friends I found, Becca and Scott. Well, Becca often told me that we are friends now, so I guess it was official. And she often hang out with me as well so that’s it. Second, for Scott. He didn’t say anything that may lead me into this conclusion, but yeah, I think we are now friends right after he helped me from that “accident” that Tyler did the other day. “I missed you so much, Nat!” Nathan stated, pinching my cheeks tightly. “Stop it! It hurts, you idiot!” I got my revenge by doing the same thing to his cheeks. Now we are both walking down the hallway like we put on some blush on to our face right af
NATHAN said that he wouldn’t be friends with Becca and Scott, but I highly doubt about that right now. It’s been months since we started our little squad... And it’s going really well. The four of us are becoming closer and closer to each other, including Nathan. Well, it was written in the rule number eight of my manual that I should never listen to Nathan’s nonsense statements. I’m glad I followed that. “Can we just go out or something? It’s getting boring in here!” Becca complained. It’s weekend, and we are currently at Nathan’s room, letting the time passed by while doing apparently nothing. Scott and my bestfriend are playing a video game, while Becca and I are reading some magazines. “You know what, guys, Becca is right. We should get out...” I complained. Nathan and Scott didn’t say anything. In fact, the two of them are c
ANOTHER months passed by, and we just found ourselves having the last month of our freshmen year... Just a little bit closer and we will be finally sophomores. That was a good thing for us, I guess. For we will not be the lowest grade level here in Jackson High. We won’t be bullied that much anymore. Though, speaking of bully. Ever since Scott defended me to his cousin, Tyler never bug me ever again. It was like he’s my real knight and shining armor... He made the bullies stop... Even Freeda and her little squad. On the other hand, Becca is still acting so weird... And what I mean by that is she’s not talking to me that much and she wasn’t that loud anymore... Ever since that day in the amusement park, that is by the way, already a few months ago from now. “Hey, Becca... Are you alright?” I asked.
WE got our second practice for today. The dance steps are getting harder and harder by the time, and I can’t help but to fall each and every time that Nathan and I are both practicing together with our classmates. I felt bothered, seeing Becca’s facial expression as we dance at the center of the wide court. “Ms. Carter! Watch your steps!” Out of shock because of our instructor’s sudden scream, my feet slipped and I lost my balance. The bad thing about it is that I took Nathan with me. And instead of me falling on the ground, it was Nathan who hit his back pretty bad at the cold cement. I landed at the top of him... And accidentally, I kissed him... On the lips. Our eyes were both widen by the fact that our lips just crashed to each other. I instantly sat up, wiping the kiss away from my lips. Nathan still looked shock, laying down the floor. Out of wo
SCHOOL festival. Our first here in Jackson High. A few moments from now, the program will start and Becca and I will finally do our plan. The thing that we are hoping to help her get close to someone... To Nathan, to be specific. “Gosh! I can’t wait to dance with him later!” Becca squealed, and I try to look happy for her. Though I really felt happy helping her, I can’t help myself but to be saddened by the fact that I’m not going to dance with Nathan anymore. I wouldn’t be participating, just like Becca during our practice days. “Are you okay?” she suddenly asked, making me come back to my senses to face her again... More like to lie again. “Hey... Y-yeah, I’m fine, Becca. I’m just... You know. I’m nervous. I don’t know what to say to Nathan later on...” I was half hoping that she will stop this nonsense and she will just let me dance with Nathan l
