Leave the country.

Dahlia returned home with a gloomy and sad face because she didn't get revenge on Lucius for what he did to Daisy. Actually, what she was mostly sad about was because she didn't slap Annabelle's cheek.

Dahlia was able to clearly remember the wicked grinning of Annabelle, and she totally understands that Annabelle was a wolf in sheep clothings.

"Young Miss, thank goodness you've returned. You're just in time for breakfast. I'll have the maids serve your food now". Ms Rousey said with a smile. She stopped smiling as she saw Dahlia staring back at her with teary eyes.

"Young Miss, did I say anything that upset you?". Ms Rousey softly asked.

Although Dahlia's eyes were teary, she smiled at Ms Rousey and assured her, "You didn't upset me, Ms Rousey. And I'll probably need some time alone. You can just delay my breakfast".

Ms. Rousey simply nodded her head as she didn't want to bother Dahlia and ask her more questions. She watched as Dahlia left her side and climbed the stairs. 'Whatever is bothering you, young miss, I'm sure you could talk it out with your father when he returns today'. Ms Rousey thought. She went to the kitchen to organise the junior maids and probably put Dahlia's breakfast in the food warmer so it wouldn't easily go cold.

Dahlia was back to her room and laying back flat on the bed.

"Oh Daisy, oh Daisy''. She repeatedly muttered her sister's name and at some point, she would exhale deeply while at it. "Where in the world did you run off to? Did you forget that you could always run back home?". Dahlia muttered once more.

Dahlia was just on the verge of letting sleep take her since all these were like a dream to her. Before it could happen, she felt her phone vibrate, so she brought it out of the suit pocket she was still wearing.

"A new message? Strange". She said so because the message came from an unknown number.

Dahlia's curiosity got the best of her, so she quickly clicked on the new message, deeply hoping that it would have something to do with Daisy, and she was definitely right about it. The message was from Daisy.

Dahlia sat up on the bed immediately so she'd be able to read the message properly. Her eyes were widely opened since she didn't want to miss out reading a single word.

(Unknown number: I'm so sorry, Dahlia. If you're reading this message, just know that I'm planning to run away, far away from this country. I can't visit you or Dad because my heart is guilty of my mistake, and I'm ashamed to accept you were both right about Lucius not being my perfect husband. Please, just this once, do me a favour and don't tell Dad about my situation. Yours sincerely, Daisy)

After reading this message, hot tears were falling down from Dahlia's eyes and dropping on her cheeks, all the way to the white bedsheets.

Dahlia quickly called the unknown number. It rang but no one answered. So she quickly texted the unknown number back. (Dahlia: Sister, please don't do this to me. I promise not to tell Dad, but please return back home. I even went to Lucius's mansion to find you now. But I ended up meeting Lucius with another lady named 'Annabelle' in his bedroom).

Dahlia partially regretted the message she sent to the unknown number because she was thinking if Daisy reads the text message, she would be more heartbroken to learn that Lucius was already with that lady 'Annabelle' whereas she had recently just ran away.

"Please text me back, Daisy. I'm sure you can see the text message because even though I deleted it from my side, it would still show up on your side". Dahlia said. She waited more than 20 minutes patiently but got no reply. She tried calling the unknown number again, but this time around, it didn't go through since the number is said to be unavailable, meaning that maybe she was blocked by Daisy from ever calling, or it could be that Daisy blocked the unknown number.

"This is so screwed up! Damn you, Lucius. I hate you for doing this to my sister. Just wait, one day, you'll feel the exact pain Daisy felt!". With a darkened face and piercing eyes, Dahlia declared.

Dahlia badly wants to tell what happened to Mr Diego, her Dad, when he returns back in the evening. But because of the favour Daisy requested of her, she decided to keep it a secret until her father eventually learns the secret by himself one day.

"No matter what, I'll keep on searching for you, Daisy. Until I find you!". Dahlia concluded with a determined face.

.

(Jennifer's motel)

When Daisy ran away yesterday, she lodged a room at Jennifer's motel. It was convenient for her since it'd be the last place for anyone to search for her.

Daisy was sitting at the bed and staring at her cell phone with teary eyes. Although she already blocked her unknown number, she was still able to read the message her sister, Dahlia, sent to her.

Her eyes were swollen since she had been crying non stop. To Daisy, she felt that the world wasn't fair to her at all.

After all she has done for Lucius, she still ended up being betrayed and stabbed in the back by him.

Daisy really thought she could get over Lucius in just one day, but after reading the message Dahlia sent to her about Lucius and Annabelle in the bedroom together, her heart ached even more.

Daisy was rubbing her stomach gently and spoke to it in a low voice, "My baby. This world is cruel to the both of us, and it's my fault since I'm a weakling and naive. For your sake my baby, mommy will be strong and won't let anyone bully us ever again. But first, we need to leave this country. We need to leave California and travel to Las Vegas".
