Dahlia returned home with a gloomy and sad face because she didn't get revenge on Lucius for what he did to Daisy. Actually, what she was mostly sad about was because she didn't slap Annabelle's cheek.
Dahlia was able to clearly remember the wicked grinning of Annabelle, and she totally understands that Annabelle was a wolf in sheep clothings."Young Miss, thank goodness you've returned. You're just in time for breakfast. I'll have the maids serve your food now". Ms Rousey said with a smile. She stopped smiling as she saw Dahlia staring back at her with teary eyes."Young Miss, did I say anything that upset you?". Ms Rousey softly asked.Although Dahlia's eyes were teary, she smiled at Ms Rousey and assured her, "You didn't upset me, Ms Rousey. And I'll probably need some time alone. You can just delay my breakfast".Ms. Rousey simply nodded her head as she didn't want to bother Dahlia and ask her more questions. She watched as Dahlia left her side and climbed the stairs. 'Whatever is bothering you, young miss, I'm sure you could talk it out with your father when he returns today'. Ms Rousey thought. She went to the kitchen to organise the junior maids and probably put Dahlia's breakfast in the food warmer so it wouldn't easily go cold.Dahlia was back to her room and laying back flat on the bed."Oh Daisy, oh Daisy''. She repeatedly muttered her sister's name and at some point, she would exhale deeply while at it. "Where in the world did you run off to? Did you forget that you could always run back home?". Dahlia muttered once more.Dahlia was just on the verge of letting sleep take her since all these were like a dream to her. Before it could happen, she felt her phone vibrate, so she brought it out of the suit pocket she was still wearing."A new message? Strange". She said so because the message came from an unknown number.Dahlia's curiosity got the best of her, so she quickly clicked on the new message, deeply hoping that it would have something to do with Daisy, and she was definitely right about it. The message was from Daisy.Dahlia sat up on the bed immediately so she'd be able to read the message properly. Her eyes were widely opened since she didn't want to miss out reading a single word.(Unknown number: I'm so sorry, Dahlia. If you're reading this message, just know that I'm planning to run away, far away from this country. I can't visit you or Dad because my heart is guilty of my mistake, and I'm ashamed to accept you were both right about Lucius not being my perfect husband. Please, just this once, do me a favour and don't tell Dad about my situation. Yours sincerely, Daisy)After reading this message, hot tears were falling down from Dahlia's eyes and dropping on her cheeks, all the way to the white bedsheets.Dahlia quickly called the unknown number. It rang but no one answered. So she quickly texted the unknown number back. (Dahlia: Sister, please don't do this to me. I promise not to tell Dad, but please return back home. I even went to Lucius's mansion to find you now. But I ended up meeting Lucius with another lady named 'Annabelle' in his bedroom).Dahlia partially regretted the message she sent to the unknown number because she was thinking if Daisy reads the text message, she would be more heartbroken to learn that Lucius was already with that lady 'Annabelle' whereas she had recently just ran away."Please text me back, Daisy. I'm sure you can see the text message because even though I deleted it from my side, it would still show up on your side". Dahlia said. She waited more than 20 minutes patiently but got no reply. She tried calling the unknown number again, but this time around, it didn't go through since the number is said to be unavailable, meaning that maybe she was blocked by Daisy from ever calling, or it could be that Daisy blocked the unknown number."This is so screwed up! Damn you, Lucius. I hate you for doing this to my sister. Just wait, one day, you'll feel the exact pain Daisy felt!". With a darkened face and piercing eyes, Dahlia declared.Dahlia badly wants to tell what happened to Mr Diego, her Dad, when he returns back in the evening. But because of the favour Daisy requested of her, she decided to keep it a secret until her father eventually learns the secret by himself one day."No matter what, I'll keep on searching for you, Daisy. Until I find you!". Dahlia concluded with a determined face..(Jennifer's motel)When Daisy ran away yesterday, she lodged a room at Jennifer's motel. It was convenient for her since it'd be the last place for anyone to search for her.Daisy was sitting at the bed and staring at her cell phone with teary eyes. Although she already blocked her unknown number, she was still able to read the message her sister, Dahlia, sent to her.Her eyes were swollen since she had been crying non stop. To Daisy, she felt that the world wasn't fair to her at all. After all she has done for Lucius, she still ended up being betrayed and stabbed in the back by him.Daisy really thought she could get over Lucius in just one day, but after reading the message Dahlia sent to her about Lucius and Annabelle in the bedroom together, her heart ached even more.Daisy was rubbing her stomach gently and spoke to it in a low voice, "My baby. This world is cruel to the both of us, and it's my fault since I'm a weakling and naive. For your sake my baby, mommy will be strong and won't let anyone bully us ever again. But first, we need to leave this country. We need to leave California and travel to Las Vegas"."She has my love, Daisy. Something you could never have". These words kept repeating in Daisy's dream. "No. No. I…. I hate you!". Daisy declared and soon her eyes opened. Her neck was sweaty and her throat was dry. She lazily sat up on her bed before she took the glass filled with water by the table and drank it. After that, she stood up and went to stand in front of her giant mirror. She questioned herself, "It has been six years now, since that day. Why can't I forget it already?".She pointed her index finger out and touched the mirror with it. "You're a different Daisy now. You must forget the past". She muttered. Daisy's face reflection in the mirror was more beautiful than ever. Her pointed nose, which was in a perfect shape. Her round face, which was much slimmer compared to before. Her almond shaped eyes with full eyelashes. Even her blue eye colour seemed to have gotten darker. Her natural heart shaped lips were sexier than ever. Her brown hair that was slightly passing h
"Hurry kids. This is really urgent to me". Daisy said. She already packed Alexander, Jack and Henry's clothes, also with hers. Though Henry insisted on bringing his toys along, Daisy didn't let him do so and promised to buy new toys for him when they arrived in California. Now they were finally done packing. Daisy dragged the suitcase with her outside the house. She returned back and locked the door before returning back to where the suitcase was. "Let's go Mom". Jack said. "Right". Daisy replied and dragged the suitcase with her while following her kids that were in front of her.Daisy hailed a cab and they all entered."Please hurry to the airport". She informed the cab driver. Now the airport wasn't that far from Daisy's house. They arrived there 15 minutes later. "Have a nice day". The cab driver said and drove away after he collected his payment.Daisy led her kids inside the airport. They were still walking when Alexander questioned, "But Mom. Did you make a flight appointme
"Now, all of you, get out of my sight". Daisy ordered. The shareholders didn't want to remain in the meeting room with someone as intimidating as Daisy, so they obeyed and left. All their faces were all frowning in disappointment. If only Daisy didn't arrive in time and they voted, then, they might have actually succeeded in dismissing Daisy as the company's chairman for good. "Mommy, that was cool!. I mean to say, "you are cool". Jack exclaimed. Alexander and Henry were stunned to speak because Daisy mostly smiled at them whenever she took care of them. They never expected to see this intimidating side of her. Daisy chuckled. "Hope I didn't scare you kids?". She questions even after knowing that her babies are tough ones. "Of course not, mom. You were amazing". Alexander admitted while Henry nodded his head at Daisy as he supported what Alexander said. Daisy sighed in relief after listening to Alexander's reply plus Henry's positive nodding of his head. She faced Sasha who was s
"Yes, it's me. I'm back, little sister". Daisy announced and that second, Dahlia rushed to hug her. Staring at Dahlia in disbelief, Jack asked Alexander and Henry, "Mommy had a sister? Since when and why didn't we know about it?". "I guess this is the surprise mommy talked about". Alexander replied before he continued to stare at Daisy and her sister hugging. Dahlia finally let go of hugging Daisy. Her blue eyes were sparkling in joy and at the same time, teary. "Ouch". Daisy reacted when Dahlia hit her on her right arm. "You deserve this, big sister. How did you bear to run away without taking me with you?. Did you know that I've been searching for you ever since? Tell me, where did you run off to?". Dahlia said and demanded an answer from Daisy."I'm really sorry, little sister. The truth is, I was in Las Vegas the whole time". Daisy admitted, causing Dahlia to continue to stare at her in disbelief. "Las Vegas?". Dahlia muttered before she went ahead and held Daisy's both shou
Dahlia's car already drove inside the mansion premises and she parked it close to the gardens area before they all came down from it. They headed for the mansion in front of them and entered through the brown door. They were already inside the living room when Jack questioned Daisy, "Mom, you know it's still our birthday today, right?". "Right. I almost forgot again". Daisy petted his head and said. "It's your kids' birthday today? How old are they?". Dahlia asked. Though she wasn't that curious to know since she already has an idea that they'd be five years old. "They're five years old, Dahlia". Daisy replied. She smiled at Alexander, Jack and Henry and asked them what they wanted as birthday gifts. "Laptop". Alexander simply answered, causing Daisy to laugh out pretty hard while holding her stomach. Daisy said to Alexander, "No matter how smart you're, Alexander, you're too young to have a laptop. What do you want to do with that?". She stopped laughing when she saw Alexander s
Daisy dragged her suitcase by herself inside her bedroom even though the maids offered to do that for her. She left the suitcase at the side of the wardrobe and went ahead and laid back flat on the bed before she sighed deeply. "Oh California, California. I never imagined my return would be like this". Daisy muttered to herself. She remained laying on the bed for some minutes when she then rose up and stood up on her feet as she felt her stomach growling really roughly. "Gosh, I'm starving here. When will the food be ready?". Daisy said to herself. It didn't reach up to 5 seconds Daisy said and she heard a knock on her bedroom door. Daisy went ahead to open the door and was glad when she saw that it was Ms. Rousey and two other young maids, plus, they were already here with her food. "Thanks, Ms. Rousey. I had no idea that you'd bring my food to me in my room". Daisy said and let them in her room. She watched the maids enter her room and kept the plates on her bed before they le
Staring at Lucius, Daisy was certain that he has been doing pretty well during the years. His black straight hair was full. Plus his crimson eyes which have gotten more beautiful, and his well defined jawline and his beautiful pointed nose, plus attractive lips and well carved eyebrows which brought out most of his handsomeness and intimidating face.Daisy averted her gaze upon Lucius and suddenly smiled at Lucas, but not in a friendly way. She pointed her index finger at the scratch she caused the car and forced herself to say, "I-I apologise for the damage I caused. Tell me, how much is the repair fee?". "Lady Daisy?". Lucas called as he approached Daisy. "Excuse me stranger, but have we met before? How do you know my name?". Lucas stopped midway at approaching Daisy as he was puzzled because of what she said. He stared back at his boss, Lucius, who averted his gaze and acted as if he didn't care about Daisy."Sorry, young miss. I mistook you for someone else". Lucas explained.
"All done". Lucas muttered with satisfaction before putting back his cell phone in his suit pocket. Seeing that Daisy had already left the cafeteria and he had already accomplished his mission, he decided to return to L's company which belonged to his boss, Lucius. Lucas hailed a cab and entered it.The distance between D's Company and L's company was 12 miles, so Lucas arrived there 24 minutes later. After getting down from the cab, he paid the cab driver his fee and didn't hesitate to report back to Lucius's office.Lucas knocked on the office door twice before he heard Lucius's deep voice order him to get in. "Boss. I did as you ordered and followed Lady Daisy". Lucas reported as he stood in front of where Lucius was sitting at his office chair. He brought out his cell phone from his suit pocket and placed it on the glass desk before he continued talking, "I took a picture of Lady Daisy eating at D's company cafeteria. Though it wasn't easy for me to get in, I have my ways, boss"
