Cora’s POV

“Are you okay, kid?” He walks toward Clyde and extends his hand to help him stand up, my son hesitates to accept it. He looks at me and I nod to approve it.

“T-thank you,” he said with a low voice and immediately run and hug me, “I’m sorry mom, I didn’t mean to cause you a problem.” As he said those words, he cries like a baby. It’s been too long since the last time I heard him like this.

“It’s all right, you don’t have to say sorry about the things you didn’t mean to happen. Let’s buy your cream pie and let’s go home, huh?” I said while patting his head.

He just nods his head, I look at him and bow. “Thank you for helping us, you don’t have to say those words though,” I said and smile.

He shrugs his shoulder, “but I can’t stand his words toward you, if only you are not friends with Tally and not my housekeeper then I won’t extend the things like that. He deserved it, after all, so don’t sweat about it.”
