Andrew’s Point of View
Andrew made his way to his office where two men were waiting for him. Upon entering the men made their way to their feet and straightened their jackets.
One of the men reached out his hand to shake Andrew’s, “Andrew nice to see you again, and thank you once again for meeting us. By the way, this is my son, Carlo.” Andrew shook his hand and greeted his son also with a handshake.
Andrew then nodded before speaking, “Gentlemen, welcome. It is my pleasure.” Andrew greeted then made his way around his table and sat down, then gestured the two men to sit as well. “For what do I owe for this lovely meeting?”
“Well, we here to submit a proposal.” The older man said while he crossed his left leg over his right.
“A proposal? What kind of proposal, John?” Andrew asked with concern, while he sat straight in his chair.
“A proposal for us to join forces. You and I both know that this would be the best decision going forward.” John said, then he placed his hands on his knees.
“John, we had this discussion a few months back. My answer is still the same.” Andrew said leaning back in his chair.
“Andrew, son please reconsider…” Before John could continue speaking Andrew interrupted him.
“As I had said months back, I am not interested in your proposal. This is my family; I am not going to bring in another set of family.” Andrew said with annoyance.
Chris jumped up and slammed his hands on Andrew’s desk, “Just take my father up on his proposal, he knows much more than…” Andrew just looked at him calmly, then John jumped in.
“Sit the fuck down!” John ordered his son.
“But father, this man clearly doesn’t know what he is…” Chris continued before Andrew took over the conversation.
“Better listen to your father. Like you said he knows much more than me.” Andrew said calmly, leaning back in his chair. “If you can’t control your son, I think it is best that you see yourself out.” He started to make his way to his feet, then John lifted his hand in the air making Andrew freeze in his motion.
“Chris, sit down now,” John said calmly, then Chris did as he was told. “Good, keep your mouth shut.” He looked at his son. Chris nodded in agreement.
“Should we continue or are we going to have any more interruptions?” Andrew asked with a slight smile.
“I apologize for my son’s behavior; thought I raised him better than that,” John said as he gave his son a glare.
“Me too John. You’re a respected man, but your own son doesn’t even respect you. Pity.” Andrew said tilting his head slightly to the right.
“Stay down,” John said glaring at his son once again. “Can we return to business?” John asked before taking a big breath.
“No, I believe we’re done here. And you have your son to thank.” Andrew stretched out his hand and pointed to Chris, with a sarcastic smile.
“Andrew, come on…” John said then Andrew interrupted him.
“Thank you, you can leave now I have work to do,” Andrew said then directed his attention to the papers on his desk.
“Chris let's go,” John ordered his son while making his way to his feet.
Chris followed his father; he turned around and looked at Andrew. Andrew looked up before Chris spoke, “You’ll regret this one day.”
“I bet I will,” Andrew said with sarcasm. Soon after they left Andrew fell back into his chair and let out a loud sigh.

Andrew wasn’t in the mood anymore to continue working. He turned his chair around and stared out of the window. He bites his bottom lip, tapping his right foot.
“Arrogant piece of shit.” He whispered to himself.
The office doors opened then Andrew sighed. “What? I’m not in the mood for anyone at this moment.”
“Is that the way to speak to your Grand Mommy?” She said with a shivering tone.
“Sorry Grams. Just had a rough day. How are you doing?” He asked with a true smile on his face.
“I am doing fine my nugget. Just a tad tired that’s all.” She said while walking slowly towards Andrew’s desk.
Andrew jumped out of his chair to help his grandma walk. “Grandma, why are you out of bed anyway?”
“I needed to get some fresh air. I was sick and tired of my bed.” She said shaking.
“Grams, please can you go back to your room? I don’t want you falling and maybe breaking something.” Andrew said with a concerning tone.
“Oh fine. I will go back. But it wouldn’t hurt you to come and chat with me once and a while.” She said, before sticking out her tongue.
Andrew laughed, “Fine Grams, I will come once or twice a day, how does that sound?”
“Splendid.” She replied, smiling.
“Please take her to her room,” Andrew ordered one of the men to escort her. The man nodded and walked with his grandma.
“I’m sorry Sir.” The other man standing guard said.
“Luckily she still remembers me,” Andrew said with sorrow.
Andrew looked at his grandma as she walked away, sadness started to fill his heart. Losing both his parents a few years back and was put in charge of running their entire organization. His grandma is all he has left, and he won’t hesitate to kill anyone who tries to hurt her.
He was still young when his parents died. Years ago, there was a hit put on his family. A hit that was supposed to have them all killed. He made it out, but unfortunately for his parents, they were shot with a machine gun. Multiple bullet wounds made them bleed out in an instant.
Luckily not their entire organization was killed. Most of them survived. Everyone had moved on from that disaster. But for Andrew, he would always live with the memory of his parents lying lifeless in his office, the office that was once his father's. Andrew could have chosen a different office in their house, but he stuck with this one. The office reminds him every day why he is doing this.
Andrew knew that he had to do everything in his power to keep his family safe. Even if it means that he could get killed at any moment in time.
Andrew walked towards the bookshelf where a photo frame was placed facing the wrong way. He always does this when he has guests. He picked up the frame and turned it around and stared at the picture.
His parents.
“One day I will make you proud. One day this empire will rule New York. Every single piece of it, and your killer brought to face justice.” He said to the photo frame. He kissed his index and middle finger and placed it on the photo. “To family.”
Kathrine’s Point of ViewWhile she enjoyed the breakfast that Dylan had made for her. Her mind started to think about the offer that Andrew had given her. She started to wonder if she should take him up on it. Kathrine needed to get some sort of income to be able to keep a roof over her head. After she had finished her food, she quickly jumped into the shower. The steam of the warm water started to fill the bathroom. Grabbing the scrunchy off the water tap she poured some shower gel onto it and started washing her stomach. She rinsed off her fit body and grabbed the shampoo bottle.Washing her long brown hair, that almost reached her butt. While rinsing off the shampoo she stood still and thought about all her life decisions.“What has become of my life? I’m not even able to keep a job, what will make this one any different?” Kathrine whispered to herself.Shaking her head to return to reality she turned off the shower and stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel. She wrapped it
Kathrine’s Point of ViewKathrine left the coffee shop, her mind swirling with the worry over the text she had sent. The night before Andrew offered her a job to be his floor manager at his club. This was a golden opportunity for her, an opportunity that could change her life. The worry of not being able to pay her bills hang heavily over her.But now, uncertainty crawled closer to her, wondering if the message that she had just sent to Andrew was a mistake, if the message had been too eager. Or worse if she had said something wrong. As she took the drive home in the cab, her thoughts started to consume her. Replaying the text message in her mind, analyzing every word she had typed. After the car ride, she finally reached her apartment building. Climbing out of the cab her phone started to buzz in her purse. She took out her phone and she froze for a few seconds for what she saw.Andrew’s name on her phone, her heart skipped a beat. She hoped for a positive response.Unlocking her pho
Andrew’s Point of ViewAndrew stared at the yellow cab as it drove away in the distance. Lost in thought, Andrew barely noticed when his friend Anthony tapped him on the shoulder. Startled, he turned to face him, his eyes still fixed on the spot where the cab had disappeared into the busy city streets.“Come on man,” Anthony said with a smile. “The night is still young.”Reluctantly, Andrew tore his gaze away from the street and followed Anthony back into the club. The loud and flashing lights seem to mock his sorrowful mood. As the night progressed and Anthony was dancing and drinking, Andrew couldn't stop thinking about Kathrine. The only thing keeping him at ease was the fact that he was going to see her again. Sooner than he would have thought.Andrew wasn’t in the mood to continue sitting at his club. He flung himself out of his seat and walked over to Anthony. “Hey, man. Are you going to be alright going home by yourself?” He asked calmly.“Yeah, I’m good. I’ll just call a cab o
Kathrine’s Point of ViewKathrine and Dylan sat side by side in the backseat of the cab, they sat close to each other. But their minds were filled with their own thoughts. The city lights flickered through the window, moving through the busy streets, on their way to Kathrine’s apartment. The weight of the day laid heavy on Kathrine’s shoulders. She leaned her head against Dylan’s shoulder, seeking a resting place. A soft sigh escaped Kathrine’s lips.“This day was just too long, to describe,” Kathrine said with a soft tone.“You can say that again. But hey look on the bright side, you’re not going to be homeless.” Dylan said with a smile.“Yeah, that is correct. I was worried that he was only doing that to get me to sleep with him. But I see I might have judged him too soon.” Kathrine replied, then sat up straight.“By the way, how are you holding up? Are you feeling a bit better?” Dylan asked with concern.“Actually, I am. Thank you, I needed this. I needed to get out and live my lif
Dylan’s Point of ViewDylan watched intently as Kathrine stepped out of the cab. Dylan nodded at the middle-aged man with a friendly face, the driver nodded with a knowing glint in his eyes. The driver placed the car in drive and weaved in with the other cars on the road. She had always been a mysterious woman. As the car was moving Dylan searched through her bag and pulled out her phone. With a quick glance around the cab, ensuring there weren’t any recording devices, she dialed a number and brought the phone closer to her ear.The silence in the car made the ringing of her phone echo through the cab. She kept her voice low, “Hey, it’s me. Our plan is in motion, everything is going according to schedule.” Dylan said just as the person on the other side picked up.“Excellent news. No one suspects a thing?” The voice on the phone asked.“No. Not even Andrew. He is oblivious of everything.” She said with an evil smile on her face.“Good. Remember to keep it that way.” The voice said.“O
Andrew’s Point of ViewAndrew groggily stumbled out of his house, his head pounding from the previous night. He needed to go to the club to meet Kathrine for her first day working for him. With blurry vision, he called for Alfred. Alfred had been working for his family for years, and Alfred had never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Andrew had left his car at the club the night before, he didn’t want to drive with another car.“Alfred!” Andrew shouted; his voice echoed through the air.Alfred walked up behind him, “Good morning, Sir. Trust, you slept well.” He asked with his hand folded behind his back.“Not per say. But I please need you to drive me to the club.” Andrew said while rubbing his head.“Where’s your car, Sir?” Alfred asked with a confused look.“I left it at the club last night. I didn’t want to impose on your sleep, so I took a cab.” Andrew said with a fake smile on his face. Andrew knew Alfred would be pissed that he didn’t call him.“Sir, you know I will always put m
Andrew’s Point of ViewAs the deafening sound of the explosion echoed through the air, causing chaos to erupt on the street. People started to scatter in every direction, desperately seeking safety. As the bouncers rushed to Andrew’s side, Andrew’s focus remained solely on Kathrine. His arms wrapped around her, the veins on his arms stood out. He felt Kathrine’s heartbeat pounding against him. Pulling away he immediately started scanning her, making sure that she didn’t get hurt. He sighed with relief. Andrew’s eyes locked with Kathrine’s.Andrew could feel the heat of the flames burning through his clothes. The smell of smoke filled his nostrils, but his priority was ensuring her safety.“Are you okay?” Andrew asked with no hesitation.“Ye…” Kathrine stuttered while looking around. “Yeah. I’m okay.” She said scared.“Come on, let’s get away from the fire.” Andrew ordered Kathrine and she gladly followed. He pulled her away from the fire, making sure that the heat was no longer linger
Kathrine’s Point of ViewKathrine stepped out of the car, her legs feeling weak and unsteady as she closed the door behind her. Chad had dropped her off at her apartment after the horrifying experience. The event of that day had her in a state of shock. Her mind struggled to comprehend the incident that had occurred. Without greeting, Kathrine made her way to her apartment.“Goodbye, see you at work.” Chad said worried.Kathrine didn’t say anything, she just continued walking into her apartment building. As she made her way up the stairs to her apartment, each step felt heavier and heavier as she continued walking. The explosion replayed in her mind like a broken record. She could hear every sound repeatedly. The people screaming. The feeling of the vibrations coursing through her body. A constant reminder of the chaos that had happened right before her eyes.Unlocking the door, Kathrine entered her apartment. The familiar surroundings gave her some calmness. She walked through the ki
