Chapter 45: Reason

Kevin sat on the couch in silence. His eyes were glued to the table in front of him.

His mind wandering to the memories he had all this time.

Ria came in through the door and walked towards him. She just sent Sam away a moment ago.

“What’s on your mind?” She asked softly and sat beside him.

Kevin let a heavy sigh and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, he pulled both of them to lean back on the couch.

Ria smiled feeling the cold that always been her favorite since the day she felt it on her skin.

“Just thinking about all of this…” He said. His tone was telling her that his mood was a bit down after their conversation with Sam.

Ria took out their little brown note, “So, Sam is out of the list?” She asked him.

“Yup.” He nodded and Ria crossed out Samuel from the list of possible suspects.

She also took out the polaroid photo and five other people there were still on the list.

“What do you think about the others?” She asked pointed out their photos.
