OPENING

TJ's POV

"Pre, 11pm na, oh! Want to bet?" Jaybi offered, asking for a race since we're all going home, from the market to the dorm.

"Aba-aba! Lakas maghamon, lagi namang talo!" Nathan replied, which caused me to laugh.

"May sinasabi ka, Tanyog?" Jaybi asked, annoyed. And then glares at me, "Saka ikaw, anong tinatawatawa mo riyan, ah?"

I looked away and coughed, clearing my throat.

I leaned against Nathan, and whispered, "Ayan na po si "Jaybi The Hot-tempered"."

Tawa ang naging response sa akin ng katabi ko.

"Anong sabi mo?"

I shook my head, "Wala."

"Sabi namin, kung as usual ba? Dating gawi, ha?" Nathan lied.

Ang dating gawi ay yung magre-racing kami at ang matatalo ay gagawin ang gusto nung nanalo.

"Oo!"

I grinned, "Game!"

And we all decided to go to our cars, and went inside after smiling at one another.

3…. 2…. 1…. go!

Nagkanya-kanya na kami ng takbo ng sasakyan. Nagulat sabay kunot ng noo na lang ang nagawa ko ng medyo napansin ko na nasa kalagitnaan pa lang ako pero nauubos na ang fuel ng sasakyan.

"Ay, pot•!" I cursed, shouted.

Ginamit ni Jaybi 'to kanina eh, 'di man lang nilagyan ng gasolina? Grabi!

Hanggang sa huminto na lang 'tong kotse ko kaya lumabas na lang ako, at hinintay ko na lang sila.

For sure, pupuntahan ako ng mga 'yon.

And after almost 10 minutes, Nathan arrived as well as Jaybi.

"Talo ka, pre," Jaybi started.

"Hindi, madaya lang kayo …"

"Pero, talo ka pa rin." And they both laugh at me, making me think that I'm right.

"So, ano gusto niyong mangyari?" I asked, directing them to the consequences.

"Make one person fall in love with you and then break that person's heart within a hundred days," sagot ni Jaybi.

I was shocked by what I heard, "Ano!? You're kidding, right?"

I have a little sister who doesn't want me to hurt someone else because of some reason, and as her brother, I promised that.

"Mukha ba akong nagbibiro?" Jaybi asked, with a serious face.

"Pero—" I stopped, when Nathan interrupted.

"Madali lang yun sa'yo, ikaw pa! Baka ikaw lang naman si Mr. Popular Guy."

Jaybi put his hand on Nathan's shoulder, "Ang pustahan ay pustahan. Whether you like it or not, you should do it. Bakit, hindi mo ba kaya?"

I laughed at what I heard, "Aba, teka! Hinahamon mo ata ako? I'm the Mr. Popular Guy, right? So, almost lahat ng babae sa university natin ay inlove sa kin."

"Sino ba may sabi na babae?" Nathan questioned me back, making me and Jaybi shocked.

"Wait— ano!?" Jaybi and I said at the same time.

He started laughing as if he was making fun of us.

"You mean?" I asked.

"Actually, joke lang yun," Nathan explained, laughing, "pero bakit hindi, 'di ba? Kasi minsan lang 'to, eh."

Tiningnan ni Jaybi si Nathan ng kunot ang kilay at parang galit, sabay iling pa na parang 'di siya kumbinsido sa plano nito, "Baka naman malaman niya, huy! kahit kailan ka talaga!"

"Excuse me? Ano 'yon?"

"Wala." Jaybi shook his head and smiled like nothing happened, "Since mukhang madali nga lang kapag babae, why not make it a guy like he suggested?"

Right after Jaybi's sentence, Nathan looked at me and kept nodding, he agreed.

I frowned, "A guy?"

"Why not?" as Nathan shrugged.

"Er…. okay?" saying while nodding, because it seems like I don't have a choice but to agree to what they want.

"Okay!" they said at the same time.

"But . . ." They look at me, when I opposed, "anong makukuha ko, if I won?"

Syempre kailangan may mapapala ako!

They look at each other first, and probably think of what they could answer.

"You can ask me whatever you want," Nathan offered.

"Me, too," sang-ayon ni Jaybi.

"Okay, then."

"How about us, kung matalo ka namin?"

I laughed at what Nathan asked, "Er…. After 7-8 years, sagot ko na mga babae niyo."

That's how confident I am, kasi sure naman ako na mananalo ako.

"Parang lugi ata kami dun, ah? Kay Nathan pa lang, 'ni hindi nga ata to nawalan ng babae, e. At saka ako, 'wag ako, pre! Loyal ata 'to," Jaybi refused.

"Loyal ka nga, 'di ka naman gusto!" Nathan teased, laughing.

"Kesa naman sa'yo, never nag seryoso!"

I just laughed at them, and shook my head.

"Teka nga, balik tayo kay TJ. Siya topic, e," Jaybi continued.

I smiled, "Find me a guy, then."
