Chapter Thirty Three

“I’ll be right back baby.” I pecked her chubby cheek, picked up the plate, and made my way to the kitchen.

I heard loud heels clicking behind me and I rolled my eyes.

I dropped the plate on the sink before turning the faucet on and letting the water pour on the plate.

“You aren’t taking her to meet her mother right Henry?” Emily was beside me before I knew it.

I let out a sigh and focused on washing the plate rather than speaking with her.

“I’m talking to you Henry, you better reply!” She shouted another sigh and left me.

“What do you want me to say, Emily?” I asked, turned the faucet off, and placed the washed plate on the rack.

“Something like you just bluffing about daughter your daughter to meet her wretched mother, how about you tell me that Henry,” she replied angrily.

I wiped my wet hands with the towel then dropped it on the wooden stand beside the sink,
