17. Ruined Date

“No,” I stated firmly.

“But I asked for permission” he sulked

“And I refused”

Kayden was persistent and so was I. He was like a Lovesick puppy who wanted a pat from his owner.

We finally got into his car and went on our date. I was surprised he did not urge me to change my clothes, I was feeling uncomfortable in the sweaty outfit sticking to my skin.

We got to the restaurant, and I wasn’t expecting it to be so fancy, it was like a five star restaurant.

I was staring at the restaurant for so long that I had not noticed when Kayden had gotten down from the car and opened the door for me.

“Thank you” I replied and he gave the valet his car keys.

If I entered this restaurant dressed like this, I was going to look like a girl he picked from the street to have dinner with him.

I noticed Kayden was looking at me, he had that look on his face that says ‘I told you so’.

I knew he wanted me to change my mind and have a change of clothes but I will not.
