She hugged her tight on her chest and whispered “ I am never going to leave you, honey. Mommy loves you so much, okay.”

Camila never wanted to hear about that statement, it felt like her son was talking to her through Lucky. He was there somewhere crying for her to come get him and there was no feeling so terrible like a mother who had failed her child.

She sat her down and cupped her face in her hands “listen honey, we will be together always, okay. No one and I mean no one will ever separate us.”

Every day she needed to assure Lucky that she will always be by her side. She felt she had to.

“Okay, mommy I love so much”

“How much?” she asked and Lucky spread her hands wide and smiled.

“Like this, mommy”

“I love you more, honey”

The nanny saw that it would take quiet sometime for the two to finish bonding, she picked up her bag and said her goodbyes by waving her hand.
