While putting the shopping bag on the table, Giselle sighed, "Don't be surprised, Ed. You've known me for a long time. You should know my capacity."

After a slow blink, her face became gloomy. "All this time, you have always praised Alice for her enthusiasm and tenacity. You called her a very amazing woman. She was able to get out of her comfort zone and overcome her fears. But what about me?"

Giselle raised her head. Her sharp eyes were fixed on Edmund.

"Look at me now. I am the president of the fastest growing startup company. Our valuation keeps increasing. We are even nominated for an award next month. I am now an independent career woman who is admired by many people."

Seeing Edmund listening silently, the corners of Giselle's lips turned up again. "Then what has the woman you call great achieved? A shameful past?"
