Chapter 16 The Different Susan

Three of them gathered for a meal at their old spot, "Delightful Bites."

John arrived first, still the same private room.

When Judy arrived, she headed straight for the private room and relaxed once inside: "I can finally have a good meal today. You have no idea, since I became a regular employee, this is the first day I’ve been able to get off an early shift."

John said with a smile: "Then, have a good meal today, which department are you working in now? Is the workload heavy, can you cope?"

"The Secretarial Department." Judy replied: "It’s not too busy as long as I don't have to entertain superiors with social outings. Has Susan mentioned when she will arrive?"

"She should be here soon." John thoughtfully poured Judy some tea and asked, "What’s going on with you two? You had me make all the calls, didn't you talk to her yourself, did you have a falling out?"
