Just for you Laura

I read that book for her all over again, she was so happy. By the time we were done, it was late in the Night. I had to call Leo to tell him where I was. Which he cared less about. When I was going, she gave me the book as her last gift on heart, then went to bed. I never knew that was the last time I would see her, she passed away overnight. 

Indeed the book, Helped her escape the pains and worries of this world.

Fiona called me the next morning, telling me about what happened to ma'am Laura, and that she sang the "I love you " song, well that's what I have always called it when I was younger, ma'am laura taught me to love unconditionally, maybe that's why I am finding it hard to stop loving Leonard...

"Emily you have to stop this thinking section, I have been staring at you for the past twenty-two minutes if I am not mistaken, you cried, smile, and change your emotions according to whatever it is you are thinking, but please we all know what the problem is but if I am an outsider I would call on the authorities, please you should stop this, it's gonna affect you psychologically. If you need someone to talk to, you can call on Mary, or get a diary if you don't trust her to know all of your thoughts you could get a therapist. A therapist would help you, he or she doesn't know you that well, and I know a few that could help out. Trust me, no one is gonna judge you. If you still don't want that, you can go see your mum and talk to her, I am sure you ain't scared to tell your mum anything. Please I don't want anything to affect you or the babies, you are the sister I never had. "I smiled at her, well it's really helpful. I don't know whatever emotion I felt was displayed through my facial expression for people to see. 

"I. I feel so embarrassed, I was just remembering time past, I have been trying to figure out where all this issue started from. Hannah never believed me when I told her Leo proposed to me, she was really surprised and it was so obvious that she was not happy, she kept asking me for my seduction tips, because she happens to witness one of you guys bullying escapade, only for her to hear later that he propose to me, it came as a shocker to her based on the fact that she tried seducing Judah, but he turned her down stating she's not his type and she's way below his status. When I spoke to her about becoming my best Lady, she was happy not because of the occasion but because she was going to meet Judah. What I don't get now is the time she started developing something for my Leonard." 

"This is interesting, so that girl has been a bitch right for a long time. I knew you and Leo were in a relationship, especially when he tried stopping us when we wanted to bully you claiming you are too weak and that we should try someone else who was stubborn. I knew something was not right somewhere. So I began following him secretly. Then I saw you guys kiss at the janitor's closet. The shy you were so adorable, you couldn't look him in the eye. It was such a lovely sight to watch, the way you played with your finger, the way you blink your eyes. I even remember when he bought you your first phone as a birthday gift. I watch how happy you were and you wanted to give me a kiss, how you stood on your toe. I knew it all, how happy he was when you pecked his lips and how he dragged you to himself and gave you a very deep kiss. At some point, I felt so jealous of your relationship that I got pissed with my boyfriend that he wasn't as romantic as Leo. Gosh, I was so childish and stupid. I made it my duty to check on Leo during lunch hour because I know he would be with you. I broke up with my boyfriend when you guys took it to the next level of bathing together and not having sex. * I was so shy, thank God for my olive skin my deep blush would have been so visible* you guys thought it was secret?. Nah, it wasn't even Judah knows about it too but we decided to keep quiet. You guys have been a great couple right from the onset, you were in-separable, I don't know how that bitch got into your relationship within a short time. "

"Can you believe the bitch had the gut to send her their engagement invitation?. Especially inviting her, what a waste of man seed" Mary-Rose said through clenched teeth. 

"What! Are you sure Leo is not under a spell, like what the actual fuck is wrong with Leo?" 

"Well let's leave Leo, and focus on the main deal, which is us. If I may ask what's the gender of our lovely unborn kiddo.?" 

"Nah, I want it to be a surprise to me, I don't know the gender of my baby yet, but if they are girls they will be Marilyn and Randi Macbeth because that's the name of my mum" 

"And if they are guys, one of them would be Jamal."  I raised my eyebrow at her. 

"Who's Jamal? How did you come about the name?  "

She scoffs with that triumphant cocky smile.

"It's nothing to worry about. Jamal Leonard Luther'' she smiled dreamingly at herself, she's crazy. 

The rest of the day was fun, trust me when I said fun because that's how it was supposed to be but I got distracted by my predicament. 

----------- Leo POV------------- 

"Leo, where are you coming from?"  Hannah asked like she's my boss or something. 

"Babe, first of all, stop using that tone on me, I ain't your kid okay, and where I am coming from, you were having your nap when Bella came knocking, saying she wants to see Emily, so I had to drive her there. And left immediately. "

"I'm sorry, I ordered Pizza if you want, it's in the fridge, microwave it and eat, I'm off and wanna go shopping. And I took your credit card" and with that, she left, gosh why's Hannah acting this way, she wasn't like this so what happened, what changed. Maybe it's the pregnancy. 

"Okay, get me a red slim tie when you're coming. I need one please" I called after her. 

"Yeah, babe heard you." 

I walked to the kitchen to see it all messed up, gosh what's wrong with Hannah. I cleaned it up, cooked a portion of real food, ate to my fill and went for a nap. 

****memory lane ***

"Leo, I don't know how to feel, but this looks so sudden to me, it's kinda .. *shh I interrupted her* .. you don't have to feel this way Emily, I will fight for you no matter what, just take it, it's for you. It's your birthday gift, I specially bought it for you, please don't say No. It will break my heart... Leo, what if Bella asks me or Judah, even your friends. What should I do, what am I going to tell them?... Tell them Leo gave it to you. I replied to her. I meant it when I said I was gonna stand by you Emily, i.. you have my heart with you. * I wanted to tell her I love her but I don't know how she's gonna react and I don't want to rush things. She's just beginning to trust me.* okay, but I don't know how to handle it, I mean I don't know how it's operated, that means I am gonna trouble you to teach me... it will be my absolute pleasure ma'am... * I smiled.. thank God she accepted it* now can I get my kiss then?...  she started playing with her fingers, a habit I had known her to do whenever she's nervous, * I swat her hands away.* c'mon you ain't a kid, stop doing this and besides I am waiting, * I touched my lips indicating I want a kiss* she looks around, she's scared of being caught. She leaned in and pecked my lips, I had expected that but I ain't letting her go just like that, I grabbed her waist and pressed my lips onto hers in a heartwarming kiss. It's really lovely, ever since we started this escapade I have always wanted to push her to the wall and kiss the hell outta her, her lips are enticing.. she broke the kiss and stared down at her legs. I knew this was going to happen, that's how she does whenever we share an intense kiss. On getting home, I notice some changes in Bella towards my Emily and am so happy. I sneaked into Emily's room, she was laying on her bed with just a singlet and small bum shorts. 

I smiled as I watched her battle with the phone, how engrossed she was, how her forehead crumbled at some point, gosh am such a goner. 

"Leo! Leo!"! I heard my name.

"Emily… "I mumbled 

"What!" 

And that made me snap my eyes open, I just fucking called Hannah, Emily. This is trouble. I am in a big shit

"Leo, you called me Emily! Are you cheating on me now? Why would you call me Emily, do I look like her?  How am I sure I can trust you now?. You went to her house and you started calling me Emily. Wow.. just wow. "

"Will you keep quiet and hear what I have to say? How many questions do you want me to answer at a time, it was a mistake, okay, I never meant to call you Emily, it was a nightmare okay, you just woke me up from a nap. you don't have to take it this far. Please okay."

The ringing of my phone snapped me out of my thought...

"Don't pick that up, we are having an important conversation. " Hannah snapped at me.

"What is it you want? Huh? * I snapped at her,* I do every single thing you want, now you think you can order me around. Just anyhow! " 

"Don't change the topic, Leo." My phone rang again, I checked who it was only to see Bella. 

"Hello Bella, sup"

"Leo, you need to come here, it's Emily." 

"What happened to Emily, * I turn to see Hannah with a very pissed face immediately the name Emily was mentioned* see don't call me about her, go and take care of her"

"I swear if you hang up, forget you have a sister. For fuck sake, Emily is at the point of life and death, you imbecile, your babies are coming out immaturely, after given her hard time you think it's right to abandon her especially now?. I swear if you don't come here, trust me. That's the end, you don't have a sister anymore."

"He's not coming, she can go to hell and die, we don't care," Hannah screamed over the phone. 

"Shut the fuck up you ... * I had to restrain myself from calling her a bitch* Bella, I am on my way, and will be there in ten minutes." I took my car key and rushed out of the house, drove to the family hospital. I rush down from the vehicle without even caring to lock it.

"Emily, please what ward is she in," I asked the receptionist.

"It's the v.i.p room on your right hand." I did not let her finish before dashing out of the hall.

I ran to the ward, opened the door abruptly causing a distraction in the ward. Emily was laying on the bed covered with sweat all over, she was groaning. And they were telling her to push. I ran to her side, held her hands and stared right into her eyes. 

"Emily, you can do it, look at me, don't think, too much okay. You don't need to panic, I'm here with you, no one's gonna hurt you. Now push gently and ease both of us this pain okay. " I kept on saying Nasty rubbish. I was so scared. I kissed her forehead holding her hands tightly. After a while, I heard the nurse say, one is out. The nurse passed the baby to the other nurse, and they took the baby out. She started pushing for the second child, she was groaning and screaming, already drenched with sweat and tears, it's such an emotional sight to behold. She kept pushing till I heard the cry of a baby, so loud. I raised my head to look at the premature baby, and he was passed to another nurse who took him to another room... I wanted to see the baby, I also wanted to stay and be with Emily.

"Leo, you came! " her voice snapped me out of my thoughts. 

"Yeah, I came for you, Laura. Just for you." I kissed her forehead. 

She smiled. And mouthed a thank you before drifting to sleep.
