Vanished

“It’s been 3 days. I am healed, I need to find her” My beta Greg didn’t believe me when I said I found my mate in a human village of all places.

“Damon, I understand you want find her, “Greg pleaded,” but what good will you be to her or anyone if you are not 100%? Besides, I have sent people out looking based on your description of her and no one has come up with anything. Mind you a better description would be helpful, small beautiful, blonde, blue eyes and smells like vanilla and honey doesn’t really narrow it down.” Greg chuckles.

“I don’t see the humour in this!” I can’t believe he doesn’t understand how important this is to me.

“Do you have any idea how important she is to me? I am already up against it being such a young alpha, and then not having a mate? Finding her will make such a difference and will help make our pack more powerful and united.”

“I know that” Greg admits,” and honestly I agree having a mate will help, but your pack backs you and knows you had no choice but to become alpha, it’s not your fault your father was killed in battle with rouges.. you did what you had to for us and we all know it. And you are doing a great job. Any doubters will come around.”

“Please Greg, I need to find her. I can’t stand the idea that she may be afraid of me… I still can’t understand how any wolf wouldn’t know of their heritage…we have to find her and find out where she is from and why she has no pack…” I storm around my room, pacing, thinking.

It makes no sense, even rouge cubs would know they are wolves… and if not a rouge how would a cub ever be left behind without a pack? It makes no sense… normally any pup without a pack becomes a rouge and they go mad and attack each other. She didn’t appear mad, quite the opposite, she seemed super intelligent and resourceful.

“Okay; boss tell you what” Greg carefully approaches me and puts his hands on my shoulders. “If you promise to let me drive, and not to exert yourself, I will take you to a few human villages and we can see if we can find her together.”

I sigh, “thank you my friend , of course I will let you drive. I just need to know she is okay.”

“Okay, you get dressed, I will bring the car around.” Greg leaves my room so I can get ready. Finally I am going to find her, my mate, my other half. I am vibrating with excitement at just the thought of seeing her again. I don’t know how I ever thought I could live without my mate! Seeing her for the first timeIt was like waking up for the first time and seeing the beautiful sun shining brightly just for me. I don’t even know her name yet and I am so absolutely in love with her I would move heaven and earth to find her and keep her safe.

I get dressed and head out to Greg and the waiting car.
