Willow’s POV My blood began to boil as he assumed that I was his because of some stupid mate bond that has proven to me once again to be just a messed-up ruse by the Goddesses. Willow’s POV The children ran to me with open arms and I kneeled and welcomed their embrace. The feeling of being wanted and needed washed through me as their little arms wrapped around me. This was the first time I had ever been greeted by a pack like this and it tugged at my soul. Willow POV After getting situated in the tent that was now to be home, I headed out to find Jessica to help me with my plan to get the children books and supplies to develop a curriculum to where the children would need to start. Damon’s POV That fucking bitch lied to me and Willow was paying for it. Watching her spill my tainted blood from her as it sizzles the ground in front of her makes me want to rip out the Moon Witches tongue for the lies that it had spilled to me. Damon’s POV The drive felt like it took forever as I had to listen to the two of my men talking back and forth most of the trip about what an abomination it was to have witches mixed with wolves and how it was going to be a threat to our species. A part of me wanted to agree with them that we needed to extinguish them all before they continued to reproduce but a part of me knew that this had to be partially the doing of the Moon Witch and I had to wonder what she had up her sleeve by doing this. Chance’s POV Maps were scattered on the meeting room table as I continued to cross out areas that the search parties had been calling in that were clear of sight of the rogues. Only one sighting of a possible old camp had we found in the last couple of days since Willow disappeared into thin air without a trace. I knew in my heart that the rogue Alpha had her and I just prayed that she was still alive. I had gathered search parties from every local pack hoping that with more manpower we would be able to cover more ground and I could bring my Luna back home to me. Willow’s POV I was a prisoner in my own body, as I could hear everything going on around me as I came in and out of consciousness, but I couldn’t move or open my eyes. I began to wonder if this was what it was like being in a coma as my body fought off the dark magic trying to take over me. When I heard the familiar witch doctor’s voice, I felt a bit relief knowing he was here and that he would be the one helping me through this. Marvin had been my doctor since birth and was the best witch doctor I knew. If anyone was going to help me pull through this, it was going to be him. But once he began to chant, I could feel the dark magic inside of me stir as it desperately tried to latch onto my insides, but what scared me the most was hearing Damon struggle to breathe. Willow’s POV “Beta Shawn is your mate? Wait, you are his Jess?” I asked her, now shocked that she was still alive and how it was possible that I too was his mate, which I was not going to expose to her. “He spoke of me to you?” Jessica asks with hope in her eyes. “Yes, he hasn’t given up hope that you are alive.” I tell her and I can see tears begin to form in her eyes and that’s when it hits me that he said she had disappeared during a rogue attack and they never found her body. “Jessica, did they take you from Red Moon?” I asked her, needing to know the answer and hoping it wasn’t true. Jessica then became choked up and she shook her head yes and said, “Beta Derrick took me for his own, that night we were attacked. He forced me to reject Beta Shawn or else he promised to kill him. I did what I had to do to save my love.” This was so wrong on so many levels and it made me wonder now if all the she wolves of this pack were taken and made to be mates to the men of this pack
